TBH at this stage I would definitely prefer Thomas Frank and even Lopetegui over Postecoglu or bloody Rodgers as they play some good football and have Prem experience which Big Ange has none of.

Worried by the defensive record of Celtic too, how would he cope in this league. Conte got pelters for his counterattacking approach, but I have no desire to play like Bielsa's Leeds either as we will be deep in the shit if so

“Lopetegui over Big Ange would be madness.

Again, have you actually seen Big Ange’s teams or tactics 🤦‍♂️ if so I’m staggered that you’re saying T.Frank and Lopetegui play good football, in comparison to Big Ange you’d be bored senseless.

Also why is PL experience important? Nuno, Conte, Jose it didn’t help them lol.

Pep, Klopp, Ten Haag, Poch when he joined Southampton etc etc all no PL experience. If anything we should not be going for a PL experienced manager.”

Just for a bit of fun…

38 people agreed with this at the time and 3 of us disagreed…
Well done @funkycoldmedina @DiVaio for seeing the future under Ange with me and not being a sheep 🐑 🐟 🎱
I can guarantee a good % of those 38 will have barely heard of or watched Ange’s teams.

But hey it’s a game of opinions
Isn’t it and everyone knows what they’re taking about and don’t make comments or ratings based on emotion and a lack of knowledge 🤣

For grins and giggles, i just went back into the "Next Manager Watch" as well as a few other threads to see the evolution of emotions regarding Big Ange. Two things stood out.

As someone who was initially on the Julian Nagelsmann train and had to switch to the Ange train at 200 km/hr, it's a great reminder how hard it is to predict the future. IN fact, it's just another reason to to maintain a level headeness about anything that is Spurs whether it is a game or personnel, etc. Second, some of the commentary is pure gold in terms of insight, predictions or good ole plain comedy.
It’s a brilliant read back for sure 🤣 up there with the Harry Kane early days pages.

To echo the post above, across the PL, U21, & U18 our record is
P: 20. W: 17. D: 2. L: 1
Felt like only a couple of months ago that the whole club was in disarray.
That’s is outstanding 👏 Paratici and of course now Ange need to take a lot of credit for this.

Surely that’s never happened before where we’ve had all 3 age groups top at the same time!

I wonder how much of it is because of the club being more aligned in our style of play across those groups now Ange has come in and how much of it is also because they know with this type of set-up and manager they’re far more likely to get an opportunity so are simply far more motivated.

Bet levy doesn’t get any credit!

Fish 🐠 told you all how good Ange would be, as usual trust in mystic Fish ;)
I was with you Fish, I was up for the idea of Ange back in March.
I think I even said that apart from his coaching ability, he had a BMJ vibe that we'd all get behind.
I don't get much right but I had a feeling about Ange and he was certainly my wildcard choice ahead of some of the names being mentioned like Enrique.

I as in the ‘we are fucked, mid table at best’ camp.

dosnt know a thing about ange before hand (there were a few calling for him to be manager), I thought it would be another Nuno.

I wanted Poch back though.

map, very happy woth ange though, incredible guy, regardless of what happens this year, he has won me over, I’m a big fan of his
Pretty much where I was at.
I was distraught we didn't get the bald dutch guy I'd never heard of.
I'm happy to admit I'm rather clueless at most stuff.

Ange was on the list on the very first post of last years Next Manager watch list. He was destined for a EPL job but wasnt sure the fanbase would have been happy with his CV but nonetheless, he was in the very first post. I am happy to receive lots of internet points for this.

See why I was so confident and optimistic about Ange now ;)
😂😂😂😂

To be fair, it wasn’t concern about you being right or wrong about it, it was the damage to you because of how totally 100% convinced you were and so how upset you’d be if wrong.

I was hopeful about Ange but didn’t know enough to be quite as convinced as you. I still think it’s early and the start has been much better than expected with us just about getting over the line several times.

I wonder how positive the place would be if the games had been the same but results had gone against us. Mid table but able to see what he was trying to do was where I expected us to be.

His quality in PR and the way he presents himself however has been absolutely top notch and just what the club has needed.

TLDR I’m just enjoying Spurs again and not worrying too much about where it will end up.
