Because I am more concerned about Tottenham winning than the style of football they play.
Nah, fuck that. I'd rather win nothing playing "Ange's style of football" than win the carabao cup playing the way we have been recently.

Each to their own but winning isn't the be all and end all for me. We gotta be good enough to compete, but if we're in the mix, playing good football then I'm a happy chappy again. Winning is the icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned.

On the other hand, why support Tottenham over other teams when you can go and support the team that plays the best football?

Because I love Tottenham, and enjoy watching them play (though, that's been tested the last few years...).

If you don't care how they play, but just want them to win, for me that loses what football should be about.

The thing is that you're so caught up in this negative, morose, blinkered view you have that you haven't listened to a word Ange has said. He wants to win every game. He said that. And... AND... he wants to win every game playing an attractive style of football. It's not either or and you're making out it is just to give your point validity.

Are you for real? Are you even a football supporter? You must be taking the piss now.

Of course, why wouldn't I be? Because I am more worried about the team I support winning than the style of football they play? There isn't a 'right' way to play football.

Hang on, so people are ok to question why I support Spurs but I can't question them?
I support Spurs all the way. The past 18 months were crap. I couldn't get up at 2am to watch us. I will now.
Did you seriously enjoy the rubbish served up?
Do you go out of your way to watch Roma now?

Your point in this entire debacle has been lost the second you chose to insult people first.

It's very easy to get your point across without doing that.

Just say that you prioritise winning over entertainment and most people on here would leave you to your opinion, but calling those of us who support Ange and everything he's doing a "cult" is where the gloves come off and you'll be challenged on the things you say.

These two points aren't mutually exclusive either, you can want us to win AND be entertained along the way. One does not trump the other. It's all about personal preference and you should leave others to theirs if you want to be able to stand on your preferences too.

You've clearly misinterpreted everything that was said in the interview. That's okay, but there's no need to try argue your point from a place of superiority and ignorance it doesn't work that way. There is very little you can fault Ange on so far, so don't read into things that aren't there.

Keep in mind that We all support THFC at the end of the day. Winning matters to everyone, but we want to be excited about each match day and enjoy the football along the way.

Who doesn't want to win every game playing attractive football? He isn't the first person to think of it or have that idea.

We aren't going to win every game (which I am sure he knows) and from his emphasis in the part of the interview I heard on not compromising on the style of football he will play, I gathered he is going to play that way no matter what even at the possible expense of some results/points.

I just want to say I don't have a problem with Ange, he seems like a nice bloke who speaks well and is charismatic.

It’s more about your feelings. I feel genuine excited waiting for the next match, Saturday can’t come quickly enough. I lose sleep thinking about the different permutations of players that’d suit Anges way against the particular opposition, the best.
Under Conte I was thinking of good excuses not to go to the match because I couldn’t be arsed with the travelling and the expense. I’d rather watch it at home and be bored and depressed on my own.
if you don’t get the feelings I’m talking about then you need to think about what you want out of watching your team.

Do you go to matches? Is being entertained not important.

I actually don't care massively over trophy hauls, as what other clubs do isn't important to me.

It’s a moot point anyway. Playing like Stoke under Conte and Mourinho won us fuck all.

I am actually buzzing to go to the ground on Saturday and watch us play the big club that is Sheffield United (no offense to any Blades reading). That's the change Ange has implemented.

Ange's point, which I agree with, is that by improving how we play and continue to develop our attacking football this will put us in a much stronger position to win matches, which hopefully will result in trophies, European football, etc. So it's totally right and understandable that his entire focus right now is not necessarily on winning matches, rather it's on improving our play and developing the players knowledge and understanding of the system, the results will follow.

It is a credit to Ange and the players that they appear to have been able to get at least a decent level of understanding of the new system so quickly which has already proven to get us results. This should only improve with time.

I still think Mourinho should have been given that League Cup final v City, but that's a discussion for a whole other thread.

It's a discussion that's been had, done to death, wrung out, hung out to dry, set on fire and the ashes buried in the garden.

I agree though, on the basic principle that if a manager gets a team to a final they should be allowed to manage that final.
