Ange needs to continue his great work... get players back.. maybe strengthen in january if possible... give the FA Cup a proper go... and then the league position will be what it will be... next season was always going to be the important one under Ange....

It's frustrating right now because of the unexpected and magnificent start we made to the season and the dreams we all began to have 🤷‍♂️ ... let's just stay calm and believe in Ange.

The issue wasn’t playing them at CB, it was exposing them non-stop by giving them no help from either full back. I love Ange but he’s naive if he thinks teams won’t target the vacant space our inverted fullbacks are leaving.
Goals didn’t come from inverted fullbacks, bit more clinical and we win that in a canter, Ange far from naive.

On the second goal Hojbjerg does what Hojbjerg does and marks the space instead of going with the runner, he did the same thing against Wolves which was probably why he was dropped.

Think Ange is doing a really good job so far all things considering. Levy just needs to open the checkbook in Jan and get 2 or 3 players in and then start planning for the summer.

Yeah but I've at least watched our games this season.

Last season I was so bored I missed loads of games.
Fulham (H) Palace & Wolves (A) were not exactly edge of the seat stuff. But my point is not so much about Ange, it is about fans who slaughtered Conte without appreciating the crass he had to work with.... he deserves more credit for getting us and keeping us in 4th.

I think in time and with an improved squad Ange will do ok and I would not be surprised if we won a cup with him in charge. But the narrative that he is some genius coach who can turn water into wine is a little far fetched IMHO. Give him a great squad and I think he will do a great job, but I think exactly the same applies to Conte and other top coaches. They ALL need top players and strength in depth to succeed.

16/17 most believed our first 11 was better than Chelsea's, but they won the league because they had the superior squad.

The list of teams who have had success with an average squad is a very short list indeed. Leicester maybe, but that's really about it in the Prem.

Conte definitely deserves a huge amount of praise for his first season in charge.

But the 2nd when we kept our best players and bought Richarlison, Bissouma, Udogie and Perisic and we should have been seeing progress.

Instead we played defensive football, lost all confidence and he started whining to the press.

Ange will face many of the same challenges. He is also seeing us in our first season without Kane. But the style of play and positivity that it appears he'll be facing these challenges with gives me much optimism.

Levy is the crucial one now leading to the window. If he does know football, he should have know what better players can do for Ange.

Just keep at it Ange.
Although I'm a bit frustrated with lack of faith in youth.
After 14 games in? He's a charmer and man-manager. He still has to and will respect the senior players first, kinda, by giving them the chances to perform. Some aren't, so we are seeing Dier not used at all today. Hojbjerg's time should be up very soon IMO. The youths will come.

And people are complaining Skipp shouldn't have come on, but Donley should instead. I would absolutely want Donley to play, but today is just Skipp's chance. We all have to respect that. Probably we may be seeing some more of Skipp, but based on his cameo today. Donley's opportunities shouldn't be far away.

The only place anyone should be complaining is the ENIC/Levy thread. Signing a single new CB during the summer when we’ve sold Kane is criminal given the fact that we have horrendous depth
