By the tone of JJ’s post I would assume the latter.
It’s a familiar story really. As has been said, our record of buying attacking players is awful.
You know for once I almost think that we should bend over and let them fuck us because we’re utterly incapable of signing a good attacking player (apart from Son) and it’s fucking embarrassing.
By us or them I wonder
Sorry but I hardly think 20-Year old Malcom from Bordeaux is asking for £150k a week.I think the problem the club have is if the wages needed to force a deal through upset our wage structure, which makes it harder for us then the other top sides.
Well they wouldn’t be wrongIncoming people with no idea why it collapsed or why goalposts were changed saying we're shit at signing players

That’s a bit hyperbole tbf but definitely none since Son 3 years ago. We’ve signed one acceptable forward in the last 10 years.
Add in the third party who owns 40% or whatever it was.Or the player/agent. Three parties all need to be in agreement for a transfer to happen. I don't know the details on this one(who is at fault), but it wouldn't be the first time an agent all of a sudden makes new deal breaking demands just as a deal was close.
