So overrated. Would rather see Willian - if I had to choose between them.

Willian's goal return is pretty poor. Remy's averages a goal every other game. We don't seem to have a problem creating and fashioning chances, but do have a problem putting the ball in the back of the net.

Surely we don't need another player who can just beat a man and create a chance? Surely we need a player that can beat a man, outmuscle a man, and score with his head just as well as his feet - from the right wing, or even leading the line when Ade isn't fit/available?

Some of our finishing has been so frustrating in recent times. Another goal threat is surely what we need.

willian is 24, playing in a weaker league, will cost more, and has much less impressive stats than remy
William is a winger/attacking midfielder and Remy is a striker so on what kind of stats do u look exactly ? Because if you looks at scoring, I am sure Remy is superior but if on passing or assists, thats something else.
Their price is more or less the same (maybe William is 1-3 mil more)

If his health/fitness is great, I'd rather have him here than an out and out striker. Covers wings, up top, scores, assists and gets a lot of headers.

I'm with all those that wish for Lloris, Moutinho, and Remy before deadline closes. Keep Daws. Arse get no-one else, manusa get no one either, and Chelsea don't sign another striker. City sign jelovic and fellaini.

I can dream.

If we're losing VdV and bringing in another CM with the intention of going 433 then yes. If we're keeping VdV and staying 4231 for the meanwhile then no. That's my point. If we switch formations to accommodate a new CM then we're losing the goal presence of Rafa (who would go) and Sig (who would become back up) and thus there is more emphasis on the front three to provide goals. Willian doesn't really cut it in that respect. In our current formation though he would provide so much craft and guile. It's exactly what we need imo. Of course we need another central striker, but we also need strong final third creatives like Willian imo.

Bottom line is Remy's a little one dimensional for me as a wide forward (not unlike Bale and Lennon). Ideally I would prefer someone more unpredictable with greater creative flair.
I guess the bottom line is, is he better than Lennon? In a 4-3-3 IMO the evidence supports Remy over Lennon.

Bale-LW Ade-CF Remy-RW

those 3 playing together has to be worth 40-50 goals a season just out of them...

Really I kind of feel the exact opposite. I think Remy is under-rated on here, mainly because a few very respected members aren't big fans (and I respect their opinions fully) but I think Remy would be a good fit for us and a better fit than Willian.

I don't love Remy or Willian but would take Remy over Willian as Remy can play the wing or CF pos and is a more accomplished finisher.

Don't understand the hate for Remy, he may be unproven, but he is definitely talented. And adds something a little different to us. More direct and daring.

Very good player, don't understand the hate for him in here. Here in France he's been labelled as the next TH for some time, and as someone stated before, TH was far from proven before joining Arsen*l.

He has this "run, shoot and score" ability and an instinct that we're lacking right now, and he can head the ball VERY well too.

If I had to choose, I'd take Llorente over him, but Remy would still be a very good signing.

Remy is a very versitile player who would fit the 4-3-3 system perfectly, strong and fast.... normally a winning combo for the prem... But sure whats meant to Daniel levy is meant to Daniel levy!!
