Anyone else a bit worried we play Newcastle after they play a side that's not been tested?
Nope, as they will be tested before our game.Anyone else a bit worried we play Newcastle after they play a side that's not been tested?
Masterclass from Levy, postpone it this week, schedule it for next week and then have them forfeit day of. Game Set Daniel 7D Hopscotch
I'd be more worried being the side to play Morecambe at the weekend. Who knows if other lower league players have it now when there won't be mandatory testing?Anyone else a bit worried we play Newcastle after they play a side that's not been tested?
No because the Premier League testing protocol is resilientAnyone else a bit worried we play Newcastle after they play a side that's not been tested?
I suppose in theory they could just push it back one week. It doesn't actually impact our calendar much, rather just trading one 3 match GW for another 3 match GW later in the season, and it doesn't impact the competition a huge amount (I'm sure similar things have happened in past seasons in the FA Cup). The Sky article seems to be leaning towards it being rearranged. I just can't see it. So the only thing confirmed (and not even by either club) is tonight's game is off.
The ticker is now saying “postponed” so guess their “source” wasn’t too clear....Sky Sports News reported it. They used the words “called off” not postponed.
No because the Premier League is actually pretty on it with their testing and, after what's happened with Orient, you'd think every Premier League team that's facing League 1 or 2 opposition is going to insist that they all get tested (if it's not too late).Anyone else a bit worried we play Newcastle after they play a side that's not been tested?
That's bad news for us if their players get it and it isn't picked up before SundayI’ve seen a rumour that Newcastle are one of the few prem teams to not sort out testing for their LC opponent, Morecambe.
I wonder if they are regretting that now.. Mike Ashley probably happy to take the risk and save the cash.

However, if they aren't going to be able to field a team next week either then I don't see any other solution but to give us a bye. It would absurd for us to be playing a 3rd round match once all of the 4th round matched have already finished and could end up delaying the final.
I think organising a friendly with them next summer as many others have suggested seems like the best way to recompense them financially.
Could they push it back one week? Don't they need 2 to isolate and will then need re tested.
..how many postponed games can we go on for before it's called off.
The point being no one knows if it’s been postponed (which means we’d have to play it at a later date) or whether it’s just cancelled and we go through.
So it’s a big difference and we don’t know what the outcome is yet. So saying it’s been postponed is not accurate as things stand.
They probably won't want to be tested againAnd I suppose they'll expect us to pay for their testing again if it is only postponed!
Presumably if it were pushed back a week, Orient would be tested again (perhaps more than once) to determine if the outbreak is ongoing. If they continue to have positive cases popping up I don't see how the match can go forward, but if they have a sufficient number of players who continue to test negative repeatedly by next week it may be deemed safe for them to play.Could they push it back one week? So tempted to disagreeLoving the way you've explained what 'postponed' means. I ain't fick yu no.
Not all players were tested, like the youth team. So they could potentially look to postpone and test those guys to see if they have enough healthy players to make up the numbers.Could they push it back one week? Don't they need 2 to isolate and will then need re tested.
