Can't stand the bloke or their fans, but can't deny what a brilliant job he's done there.

Built some exceptional teams who played great football, shame about the complete bellendry it'll be associated with.
Was kind of looking forward to seeing Ange, Pep and Klopp have a real battle next season.

with City facing potential disciplinary action, Chelsea and United lost at sea and now Liverpool in a rebuild there could be a real chance for both us and Arsenal next year.

Shame though as his surname Klopp matched really well given their main stand is called the klop.

Will be Alonso surely.
Would hate that but would also be huge boots to fill. Hopefully he would want to take on a project where he can bring the success (back). Bayern could be in for him too.

Pool should go for their perfect match Gerrard. :D

Whilst I do believe it will be Alonso, it's still massive shoes to fill - especially if they end up winning multiple trophies this season.

May want to be the guy that takes over after the next incumbent and it's not like he isn't building a wonderful project currently at Leverkusen, nor has he escaped the attention of Real Madrid either.

Fucking annoying that the timing is perfect for them to get Alonso and just carry on.
Yeah, that won't be how it works out. It's almost impossible to just replace a manager of his caliber and standing. It certainly won't be a straight forward continuation and things will need to change.

Reported that he told the Liverpool owners last summer. His full staff are going with him which makes you think he is possibly going to the Germany job.
Nah I believe him when he says he's knackered - obviously both he and Guardiola put a lot of work in but whilst for Pep I think it's an obsession that takes over his whole life, for Klopp it seems more like something he just happens to be really good at. Plus he's had his first grandkids and never really had time to mourn losing his mother; I think he genuinely needs a break. Plus he loves the club, I don't think he'd lie about the reason for leaving.

Think that's why I have more time for him than many here, besides personal allegiances (lived in Liverpool for about a year and really grew to love the city) - he seems like a human being with his teams being an extension of that, whereas Guardiola and City seem more like robots.

Alonso has a lot to prove to be seen anywhere the same level as Klopp. I detest Klopp but he is right up there with Pep in terms of being a manager. Anybody they get will be a step down.

Alonso isn't a bad thing IMO. Whilst a fantastic manager you know he will be heading to Madrid at some point so potential disruption with him being linked etc and at some point he will leave for Madrid so no chance of real long term stability like they've had with Klopp.

Whilst I don't like Klopp I will be disappointed when he leaves, as I will with Pep. Feel it will be a turning point with two huge managers leaving. Be similar to Ferguson, Wenger and Peak Jose, a fresh start etc. Personally think us getting Ange when we did is brilliant as he should be well established with his own side to take advantage.

No big drop off in management levels? That’s a mental statement.
What I mean is they’re not going to get Hodgson or someone like that, so aren’t going back to the mid table era pre Klopp anytime soon with Alonso coming in. Fully expect them to still be top 4 regulars with him in post, and time will tell if he can challenge too.

I find him pretty annoying but the league will miss him.

I think pep won't be far behind him too.
I'm honestly surprised Guardiola hasn't left first; I assumed he wanted to be gone before the FFP thing finished so he wasn't tarred with it.

Latest odds. Surprised to DeZerbi so high.
