Bit harsh for me. Dier was good for a couple of seasons when he used to drop in and make a back 3, but then got found out for lack of pace. Winks has always been mediocre in all facets - still wouldn’t say I hate him - it’s not his fault so many managers have fallen for it thinking he is Iniesta, what a joke.

People forget that about Dier, in Poch's first two seasons he was the best DM around and like you say he slotted back in to a three when the full backs went high and did it so well. Unfortunately its all been down hill since then.

I would never wish injury on any player. I just don't think we should have rewarded his behaviour with a chance to get the golden boot and set the precedent that what he did is acceptable. Any other player doing that would have been left at home.
