mayb Lee is training how to cross...
Anyhow, I think Gilberto is very good. The guy is fit and has quick feet.
I do not understand how people can praise KPB and Kaboul on their debuts but critize Gilberto. Those two has very wobbly body postures and doesn't look very mobile, Gilberto is far better and will only get better once he gets match pratice.

another possibility for Sun is Gunter - I'd like to see Lee and/or Rocha given some time at LB too but not in the next two games- Huton's ineligibility for UEFA has hit us hard as I think Chimbo would have played LB on Thurs - maybe allowing gilberto a quieter debut as a LM sub during the game

Gilberto would still be my first choice to play but if he isn't fit enough I would plump for Lee.

Can't really understand why Ramos keeps putting Chimbonda or Tainio out of position instead of playing Lee, who although is predominently right-footed is a natural left-back.

I am not knocking Gilberto (yet!) but not sure how u can say your first choice LB? Are u a big follower of the bundesliga or the Brazilian national team to have seen enough of him?

I, for one, certainly hope we've seen the last of chimbonda at left-back this season.. Shocking defensive display.. It looks like he has no clue, whatsoever, about what he is doing back there.
SURELY, Gilberto, LEE, O'Hara, even Tainio would be better options in that position.

But to be fair to chimbonda, it really isn't his fault. He's just doing what every one of us would have done. Putting on the shirt and earning his money by playing wherever Ramos tells him to play. I just hope he comes to his senses and says to Ramos: "Gaffer.. Please, for the sake of the team.. Don't play me at left back! I can't help it, I'm shite.."

Take this as a rant of disappointment from my part after the 4-4 draw at home to Chel$ki..

Chimbonda has been doing well enough there up untill today. Unfortunately this was his first calamity and probably worst ever performance in our shirt. But I'll forgive him because he's good performances FAR FAR outweight this one against Chelsea.

Be fair, it was against Joe Cole who was on fire, it wasn't a great performance, but alot of defenders have done much worse.
