So, a few of the more respectable news outlets seem confident an offer was accepted. Yet, Romano, Di Marizio, Ally all seem to indicate this is highly unlikely due to the piece of shit, cocksucking, knuckledragging mouth breathers over at Chelsea, whose entire transfer policy seems to be designed to fuck us at any chance they get. Sound about right?

This is Dyabla V2. Time to move on to a target Chelsea won’t challenge us for. Someone like Troy Deeny. (Yes, that is a joke, I am being facetious).

tbf, ally and dimarzio have links with the club, so they could just be diverting attention? And fab romano is a tap in merchant (gil aside)

I know we give Daniel a lot of grief… but when you read these stories about how some of these clubs in Spain and Italy have over leveraged themselves to the point of near bankruptcy. Then compare that to our situation; where a
we are carrying the significant stadium debt, yet still somehow finding ways to strengthen the squad… that comes down to pretty sound fiscal judgment. No matter what, he has never put the club in any sort of financial jeopardy. I know he has fucked up a lot of shit, but I am a tiny bit grateful for having a shrewd businessman who has managed to keep us slightly competitive during an era of great financial uncertainty. I’d fucking hate to be an Inter or Juve fan right now.

Not sure how solid these Journalists cited are, but the noise tonight is that Inter are bringing Zapata, Dzeko, and Correa.

If so, then Lauturo is being sold to someone.

Being a Juve fan isn't all bad but I accept your excellent point about Levy balancing the books. Let's hope he concentrates his attentions solely on doing that now and leaves the transfers to Fabio and Nuno. It is a massive concern to the fans that Juventus owe so much.

Juv and inter are winning.

We need more balance ie financial prudence and Tottenham success.

Leicester should be our blue print.

Yes, they were winning. But at what cost? Guess time will tell.

And yes, I am a huge fan of Leicester’s recruitment policies. Same with RB Leipzig, Dortmund, Atalanta, and Lille. Hopefully, with a DOF like Paratici and a solid scouting squad to support his strategy and tactics, we can start to implement an identity to how we manage playing resources. Can’t help but feel it has been a bit ‘scattergun’ and reactionary ever since Baldini left.

A thread here which if correct is not good for inter, they still owe us €12m for Eriksen and also still owe Madrid for Hakimi, also they owe half of the lukaku fee to United still
Ouch

Completely in the shitter to get that league title

No prob - we’ll just have to agree to disagree. I’m inclined to believe Levy’s warnings that our financial situation is not superb after 18 months of lost revenue, and the links with Vlahovic & Martínez now suggest to me that, like Villa with Grealish or how we handled the Bale sale, we are (wisely) trying to spend some of the Kane money before we get it. We’ll know if that’s accurate in a few weeks anyway. I’d be delighted to be proved wrong. I suspect I won’t be though.

Again, I wasn’t trying to call you out but there’s so many posts repeating the same thing. The decency in your reply tells me that you are a mature person and I think like most, we’re all skeptical of anything that comes from Levy and the board.
I’m digging deep to find some hope that we will be competitive this season and hopefully win something and get back into the CL. I’m not sure if Kane will be sold but I’m at the point where I hope he is. If we can get two good strikers to replace him, I feel we could even achieve more.
COYS!

I’d happily sell Kane if it meant we got Martinez, Barella and De Vrij with the money. Add in Tomiyasu and Vlahovic, covered by other outgoings and funds, and we’d be in great shape for years!

Lloris
Tomiyasu Romero De Vrij Reguilon
Skipp Højbjerg
Barella
Martinez Vlahovic Son

Wow, that’s more than hope, that’s fantasy!!

I do really rate Skipp and think he’ll be a good player for the future, but I must admit I’ve been surprised at how many people are placing him in their preferred starting 11 over Lo Celso. He’s just won the copa America and is fighting fit for a change and he’s a bloody excellent player when he is!

If we do sign this guy, how would this compare to the Dybala signing that wasn't? I remember being really excited we were signing a world class attacker. Is Martinez in that same bracket?
