The Fulham Chronicle seems to think we have agreed a fee with Norwich to sell Kyle Naughton.....

QPR set to miss out on Spurs defender

QPR look set to miss out on Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Naughton after Norwich City hijacked the deal at the 11th hour.

Rangers were lining up a loan move for the full-back, who played under boss Neil Warnock at Sheffield United.

But Norwich look to have beaten QPR to the 22-year-old after agreeing a fee with Spurs.

I posted this weeks ago, but a friend of mine with connections at Leicester said we'd told them he was theirs for £4m. They seemed to think he'd end up at QPR though.

Not sure he's a Norwich type signing or in their price range tbh.

could it not be that the fee that has been agreed is the fee for the loan, rather than the sale of Naughton?

Is agreeing a loan fee newsworthy?

The fees generally aren't so much as mentioned throughout the course of the loan anyway!

nowhere in that article it says that Norwich will sign him.
It says the have hijacked the deal
The deal being: Rangers were lining up a loan move

So yes, the fee is news worthy if it means he would go to Norwich instead of QPR

When you put it like that then I suppose it is possible

Kyle naughton has joined norwich on season long loan, we should see how he develops this season, does need more games under his belt imo,

Move to Spurs chat?

I don't mind this deal, would have preferred to sell as IMO, I don't think he is/will be quite good enough. However, if he has a great year with Norwich in the Prem then it means we can steal him back, or if Walker proves a hit, we can ask for a lot more money (Levy will be salivating at the thought of this!).

An excellent move imo. He is a young player with a lot of potential who will now have a chance to prove himself in the premiership which can only be good for us. If he proves he is good enough then we get back a player with PL experience and if he isnt good enough then we ll move him on.

thats if he gets in ahead of russell martin who has been awesome for norwich for the last two seasons. I hope he does but Martin was one of the most consistent players for norwich last year. It will be tough
