Good things have come of injuries so let's take what we can from this. Kane had an amazing stretch of no injuries. He managed to get through a large chunk of 2 years without getting any serious injuries or suspensions when we really had no decent cover (Chadli and Son).

Lennon I think came to prominence after Routledge's injury? Mason for Dembele (injury and poor form).

Janssen to score a hattrick tomorrow. If he plays...
Not to mention Bale for BAE - that worked out pretty well.

attacking players as back up are not the same as strikers.

We have Jansen, on board and i'm happy that we got him in.

If he turns out to be another Soldado though, we are in for a rough time indeed.

Should we have invested in one more out and out striker? Considering just how many matches we will have?

I think we've been very fortunate that this hasn't happened sooner. It'll be interesting to see how well Janssen steps up.

I'd like to see Harrison get a run out tomorrow night too, you never know our luck but when Kane returns fit he might have harder job getting straight back in than we all thought?!

Someone said in another thread that Poch said that he's injured and will not be in the squad.

Worried that Janssen direct back up. He is adjusting to a new league and country and didn't really need the extra pressure so soon. Shame we haven't any youngsters fit and ready for a chance. Or have we?

Better this season than last. Ah well, Jansen, Son and Harrison. Expect to see Harrison on the bench against Gills.

Janssen will do the job and do it well. True, new club, new league yadda yadda blah blah... but he's clearly got the physical prowess, the speed and tenacity that's required to succeed, so I'm not overly worried. Of course if he gets injured as well then we're totally screwed!
