After the end to the Moutinho debacle, I've been racking my brains who else we could potentially bring in. Eriksen was one that was next in line, but he's started talks with Dortmund.

Then I thought of Kaka.. sounds mad I know, but after considering the following 8 factors perhaps it's not so mad after all..

1. No longer first choice at Real Madrid & falls down the pecking order behind Di Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo, Modric, Khedira.
2. Would command a fee similar to Moutinho, somewhere in the region of £20m, if signed perminantly.
3. Has recently stated that he wants to remain in Europe. A return to Milan in January fell through.
4. In our 'links' with Real Madrid, a wage share may be possible. Perhaps even a season-long loan deal by offering them first refusal on Bale next summer should we fail to qualify for the Champions League.
5. At 31 he's no spring chicken, but would command a huge amount of publicity, sell shirts & attract supporters from all over the world which would obviously appeal to Daniel Levy.
6. Would show a sign of intent to Gareth Bale in make him stay - even only for one more season.
7. Would have the impetus to play well with the World Cup in Brazil coming up. The perminant signing of Leandro Damiao (if completed) would enable them to develop a partnership.
8. Would aid the development of Sigurdsson / Bale - playing just in behind the striker.

It seems that it might just be possible & would provide the kind of 'marquee' signing that may be available with a fail safe option if on loan. Nothing to lose & everything to gain if that could happen.

Maybe I'm just dreaming but, I don't think it's completely out of the question..
