I have a feeling selling Sanchez might be a mistake. He was superb on Sunday and if he can get that level of consistency then he can be every bit as good as Kounde. Kounde is class but maybe Sanchez can be to with proper coaching and a decent full back to his right.

This is the issue.. he has this type of game then back to average and mistakes. If he keeps Sunday’s level then yeah will be a mistake but we’ve seen little over the last 2-3 seasons to show that this will happen. Maybe having to be a leader could be good for him. I’d still like to sign a proper LCB with his funds. Dier was good at the weekend but his inability to open up his left cut out Reggy, dele and Bergwijn for large portions the game and when Kane/ a ST come in with Son out on the left it’s by far our strongest attacking flank

I think having Skipp and Holberg ahead of him helps, the CM we had last year wasnt good enough and we sat back far too much, so mistakes will happen!

I still think he is decent, and improving, I wonder if him and Romero would be too attacking as both would go press or would it be one of them and then someone with them.

The issue is at what point do you cut the chord? We’ve seen him have really good games before and then a couple games later he’ll be putting the ball into the back of our net and dropping us points purely on his own. So maybe he’s turned the corner or maybe he’s the same Sanchez we’ve always seen.

I think at this point it’s time we move on. I wish him the best and I hope he does come good. I just can’t take the risk for another year where a singular player can submarine our ambitions.

I think the situation with Sanchez is relatively simple, if we can get a potentially top class CB in the ilk of Kounde, Lacroix or Torres (Torres maybe not world class tier but in terms of a partnership with Romero he's a top buy) then I'd be open to Sanchez moving on IF it's needed in order to facilitate one of the aforementioned deals. There's other defenders I'd personally move on first but it's always down to finding buyers.

However if we're looking at Milenkovic, Coady and others who don't look like they have the ability to reach the top level then I'd stick with what we have and see how Sanchez does under Nuno.

Someone send this to Paratici - don't want any of this Zouma/Coady/Milenkovic nonsense :ROFLMAO:

@Romario get on it ;)

That's as much as us as him. Our club hasn't given our players, particularly defenders a stable platform to develop and excel.

I think we need to give our players a clean state under Nuno.

Wonder if we'll pull the trigger on Tomiyasu as soon as this one dies, but might be holding out just in case?
