Probably right. Obvious that he cannot continue with an error each game.
Just saying if he stays maybe not use him as a CB because he still could do with someone behind him and give him more safety and confidence.
I like him and think he is an investment. For me he is an investment at CB as that’s his natural position. I don’t think playing DM will improve him as his biggest issues are reading the game in front of him and knowing when to commit and when not to. To learn that he needs to be playing at CB, the problem is that if he doesn’t quickly start to learn he is a Luiz without the free kicks. So you have to be careful. Great talent, but for his career he needs to move and I would say permanently would be better for him.

A team with a back 3 and a goal keeper that can sweep up would be good for him

Think it’s pretty clear that the club massively over value this guy.

Think a lot of people on here really over rate the lad too.

Haven’t seen a fee we want anywhere, but regarding latest ITK we shouldn’t even entertain the idea of selling close to £4m

Well we paid around 4 million for him, has he significantly improved since then? I don’t see it.

I’m not saying we should sell him for £4 million, but then again I can’t see why anyone would be willing to pay more than that really.

We paid just under £12m

We paid ~10m for him, since then he became Argentina international, has experience in Premier League and Champions League, can play 4atb and 5 atb, can play as center back and right back. Anything less than 15m is laughable

Thought we paid about £8m ( may be wrong) , even so since he’s arrived he’s played PL and CL and also cemented a spot in the Argentina national team, imo I’d say about £15m is a fair price and if he can achieve his potential then that is a bargain

Whilst I agree with that, we did spend 12m (or whatever) on him. The club won't be prepared to take a heavy loss on him.

I did see Foyth live at RB for Argentina last year in the Copa America and he did very well and looked like he could handle that role.

Unfortunately, International football is different to PL football and the pace is a bit more frantic. Therefore that's why we see his loose touches punished frequently in the PL.

It would be interesting to see how he would have progressed had he had plenty of game time. Maybe he woukd have ironed out these mistakes, who knows?! Although, the physicality is probably an issue for him as well.

I do think he is very talented technique wise, he reads the game well and passes very well. However it's all a bit redundant if he's naive with his tackling, prone to overturning the ball.

Unfortunately he's been poorly managed.

Loan versus sale. He needs to go and either prove himself in the PL with Leeds etc and become competition at RB, or go abroad and make himself worth a higher fee in a slower league.

Need him off the books for this year's squad, but not at a loss, either financially or of his potential.

Wow not sure where I got 4 from then, but we have had three different higher figures posted too.
Transfermarkt have it at £11.7. Which is what I remember. We were up against PSG iirc.

If we can sell Wimmer for 16m then we can get a similar figure for Foyth.
Market is severely depressed due to COVID. Some teams are going to struggle to survive, in every league. That will have a knock on effect on every transfer. Players being made available more cheaply. Fewer purchasers.

Don't rate this lad as highly as some but surely it makes more sense to loan him with an option or obligation to buy. A full Premier League season would do him wonders and we then get an improved player or a higher transfer fee.

It’s not that simple though. All clubs can put arbitrary values on players, but often that player is only worth what the buyers are willing to pay.
