I still think the lad has serious talent and hope we only let him go out on a season long loan. I can only see him doing well if played regularly
I would say its because he hasnt got run of games to play. When he joined he didn't even play 10 competitive games. Poch never game him a run and Jose didnt either. Only team which has been consistent and given him chance is ARG national teams - where he has been brilliant.
He needs a manager that trusts him and give 10 games in a row.
Yes - costly mistakes indeedtrouble is with the boy when he has played he has been very error prone - the penalties at Wolves the mis control at Norwich even the sending off at Bournemouth - sadly he won't get those chances if when he does he makes a costly mistake. I think he has some potential but its fairer to let him go

He seems like the Argentinian Jon Stones to me. Best sell up With maybe a buy back but He’s like stones, not got the concentration for a centre half and not the strength or ability to play as a holding midfielder.

But I think a certain level of maturity is needed to play CB, which comes with time and games.
He’d definitely benefit from a loan and perhaps at a different division in England.
How can you say this? We signed him off the back of 9 matches of first team football in Argentina. There’s a myriad of potential reasons why he’s not progressed and most of them relate to his altitude to play at the level needed. The manager who pushed to sign him barely played him in over two seasons, that surely says something. He was only a year younger than Dier was when he arrived, yet Pochettino had Dier as a mainstay in the side for his entire tenure. We’ve ruined him no more than we ruined Taarabt or Blondel. We've ruined him, let's hope not permanently

He has a nice touch, a decent pass and a lick of pace. That’ll carry him so far but at 5’11 and with the chest of a pigeon he’s not succeeding at a defender in England at any club in my opinion.
He might, but by his age Toby has already enjoyed two seasons as first choice at Ajax, same with Jan. Difference in both cases is that yes, they’re technical defenders, but they were also broad shoulder battle ready gladiators. Foyth looks like a middle distance runner.I remember at that time only PSG and us wanted him. Not sure he would make it if he went to PSG
I won’t disagree but I’d love to see him given a few games at holding midfielder. If he doesn’t cut it there I don’t see where he fits really. Shame, he can play a bit.He seems like the Argentinian Jon Stones to me. Not saying that so much as I’m saying that the players I’ve mentioned didn’t just play because they were good on the ball, they were also built to battle with strikers even at that age. I’m sure Foyth would look better at Ajax than he does for us, as he’d be playing for by far the best side in a far easier league, but that’s assuming they would play him.You think Foyth couldn't look good at Ajax? As I said earlier, if he was there I think people would be going nuts for him.
