Good to see as they're a bit short of ex-Liverpool players with Redknapp, Thompson, Walsh, Aldridge & Souness.

He'll obviously be providing non-biased views on Liverpool and won't of course even consider coming up with any old excuse for Liverpool's poor form or try to explain to the viewers why Liverpool are still one of the leagues top clubs despite being shit for a number of years.

He will also provide unbiased views on the clubs he sees as Liverpools rivals and won't mention why he thinks Liverpool are better than them and are in fact just generally unlucky

If you think that's what he says than sure, personally I can't understand a word of what he says! Surely the ability to speak clearly is the most important attribute a pundit can have?

He was good on ITV but he is hard to understand sometimes.

He can talk about how Liverpool won the passing when they lose, that is if they ever lose again.

Think he's brilliant, last time he said spurs could win the league and win the champions league, at least that's what I thought he said

The only person worth listening to is Gary Neville. I enjoy listening to him talk about football, he's not afraid to dish it out.

To be fair most people said this about Neville, and now he seems well respected. Just because they're biased, irritable pricks when playing for their clubs doesn't mean they'll be the same as a pundit.

When Neville was announced I had my doubts but he's been great, good to see his brother on the BBC now as well. Carragher, hopefully will be of that ilk rather than Jamie Redknapp who is just another Andy Townsend - thick as fuck and full of soundbytes.

The sooner the oldies move on for more modern thinkers the better.

He can barely say his own name. So a perfect fit at Sky then...

Wow, that's really out of the left field. There are definately not enough scousers in the media.

Seriously, ex gooners and scousers are like a fucking plague or something. The only ones I don't mind listening to are Alan Smith and Souness. Souness in particular I find a good pundit. The rest make me sick.

I know a lot of people hate smith but I've always found him quite fair, at least compared to the other ex-gooners. Last season he admitted we were a better team than arsenal, the others just couldn't bear to admit it.
