Based on that then - Fergie cant take credit for Chicarito, I doubt Wenger went to Luton to watch Wilshere before taking him, i also doubt he went to watch Barca's youth side to get fabregas..........
Of course the scout was the one who identified the player - thats their job isnt it????????????? Redknapp would then have looked at the player (maybe videos) discussed it with the scouts and then made a decision. Once he decided he wanted the player Levy would then have done all the contract stuff. I am convinced you dont have a clue how football works at times? Do you think managers go and watch every player, do the contract negotiations and just ask the chairman to sign the cheques?? :bang:
Sky Sports Darren Lewis has just confirmed that he had brief with Spurs and that the Club insist that Joe "alien head" Cole is definitely not on their agenda..
why though? You have said many times previously that he was a Levy signing? Or are you leaving him out because he changes your stat?
Quite funny tbh!
oh and you never explained how you know levy signed naughton/walker - still awaiting that one?
Ofcourse he'll have some say, but the driving force behind those players was Levy.
Of our signings since Harry took over;
Defoe - Harry
Palacios - Harry
Cudicini - Harry
Chimbonda - Harry
Keane - Harry
Walker - Levy
Naughton - Levy
Crouch - Harry
Bassong - Harry
Kranjcar - Harry
Gudjohnson - Harry
Kaboul - Harry
Sandro - Levy
Pletikosa - Harry
VDV - split
Gallas - Harry
Khumalo - Harry
Pienaar - Harry
Freidel - Harry
Harry's signings average age = 28.7
Levy's signings average age = 19.6
I didn't count VDV as I see that as a split effort and one that fell into our laps.
I haven't seen your post, what was it?
Common sense.
Before Sandro's 1st game, Harry even said "Sandro better be good, or Ian Broomfield's getting the sack" obviously in a jokey banter way but the underlying truth is that it's not Harry's signing. Why would he buy an unproven 21 yr old from the other side of the world? He knows he's not going to be here in Sandro's peak years so why would he take £6m out of his transfer budget? Answer is, he didn't. Levy aims to keep young players ticking over while Harry buys the 30yr olds(40yr olds even)
The same goes for Leandro if he signs, he'll be Levy's signing on our scuts recommendation and Harry buys Drogba - which I'd be in favour of by the way.
I think Harry had him on his list but we were quoted too much for him so we left it, then on the last couple of days Levy asked again and got it down to £8m and Harry said yeah, so it was a split venture but ultimately one that fell into our lap.
As for Walker and Naughton, why would Harry spend £8m on a couple of right back kids that might be good in 5 years time? That was Levy's work.
But he hasn't filled the squad with players in their 30's
Look at Arsenal, they've not been able to win anything since they got rid of their older players, we have loads of brilliant players under or around 25 who sometimes lack the required composure to see out games. If Harry brings in a few players over 30 then I think we have a better chance of a trophy next year, there just seems to be a load of panic over nothing.

We need experienced players, they're the ones who will pick us up more points against the lower teams. This thread is stupid.
