Back in 1982, the BBC show Sportsnight did an homage to Spurs, celebrating their centenary.

Many will no doubt have seen it, but if you go to www.ohwhenthespurs.co.uk and go to their Film/TV section, towards the bottom you can watch the piece.

It features Bill Nicholson, Keith Burkinshaw, Ricky Villa and Steve Perryman and charts Spurs over our first 100 years.

Also featured is Arthur Rowe. If you watch the piece (and your anything like me), you won't fail to be moved by his reaction to the question, 'what does Spurs mean to you?'.

Again, apologies if I'm preaching to the converted, but I thought it was worth a look.

Thanks for that Rez

I love the bit about Dave Mackay when he first joined Spurs (about 8 minutes into the first video)

We really need a player like that now!!

Lost the link to that. D/L'd them. Cheers for the link. Amazing the Arthur Rowe clip at the end. How this game can create such emotion in a grown man is incredible.

That's what's lost in the modern game. Comes with such access to vast fortunes, it's only natural but that connection to a club, whether it's SPurs for us and the players or Preston, Yanited, even the gooners etc - it's been lost completely by players and I think by supporters in some ways.

I have seen this before, very moving. Can you imagine any of the lot there now speaking like that? All we get now is how they will be off if we don't get Champions League, how things have changed!:(
