The Woolwich's new neighbours slagging them off in a minute on this program apparently - stick it on :up:

The brief preview clip had a local woman saying, "They've just ridden roughshod over the local community" or something similar, i was trying to turn it up :lol:

to sum up:

in 2002 a glossy was produced to show the community the things they promised - new sports centre and transport improvements.

Shows a woman and her two mini-gooner sons who used to go to the Highbury soccer school, how much they miss it, the players showing up etc. they've turned their back on the kids. New sports centre "in the heart of the development" hasn't materialised, kids are pissed.

They built the homes, 35% "affordable" housing - half a mile down the road outside a rubbish tipping place and a railway. Looks shit.

They then show the station they promised to pay up to have it improved - they say they put forward £7m but it turned out to want £70m. TFL said from the start it wouldn't cover it.



There appears to be some missing from what i saw on the program - the vicar hates them for being business types and forgetting what they mean to the local community, some local infant school mums say they're bastards but they still support them.

So, it's all going to shit off the pitch too :dance:
