But he's already played this season...
That's a good point too. Now I revert back to, does anyone know of he's injured?!
But he's already played this season...
Mason got a bang on the knee, no twist (ligaments), no break (bones). Anyone who has ever clashed knees after colliding with an opponent will tell you that you can manage about 2 steps before the pain kicks in (then collapse). Painful but most likely not serious. Just about the worst case from that type of knock is a fractured patella which can be pretty serious though.

25th September :
Nabil Bentaleb, Mousa Dembele, Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard remain sidelined for tomorrow's (Saturday, September 26, 12.45pm) huge game against Manchester City.
"All four are close, but all four are out," reported Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino after training on Friday.
Mousa has been out since picking up a foot injury against Everton on August 29, Nabil has missed our last four matches with an ankle problem, Ryan damaged his knee in scoring the winner at Sunderland on September 13 and Alex has an ankle problem

If all 4 were 'close' to a return on 25 September, you'd expect/hope all 4 to be available for the Liverpool game (Dembele of course appeared off the bench v Swansea).
For what its worth http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php#c19 (who tend to work off average recovery times) says :
Back for Liverpool 17 Oct - Mason, Bentaleb, Rose
Back for 22 Oct - Son
Back for 25 Oct - Pritchard
Pritchard's had surgery - out until the new year

Seriously, fuck that u21 tournament. Pritch's season is not far from being a write off and Kane is, if not quite burnt out, then at least looking like he needs a rest.
That type of tournament should be the reserve of genuine youth players, ie players who have something to prove before reaching the top level. Pritch arguably falls into that category, but there's no way a guy scoring 20+ goals in the top flight should have had to play in it.
They should have the u21 tournament the same summer as the senior. So you have to pick which one they can enter. Will reduce burnout.
