I wonder whether we'll make him train alone to earn his money or just outright tell him to stay away...

Can't remember the specifics but certain things like isolating players in training can be considered the football equivalent of constructive dismissal, leading to tribunals at the Court for Arbitration in Sport, potentially ending in him being freed from the contract but us being made to pay damages. Currently this scenario is most associated with Goran Pandev and Lazio, but Ade seems a more suitable frontman for the cause - it will be called the Adebayor Ruling and will be heavily associated with his grinning face, possibly while sitting on a throne made of diamonds.

I don't think we even let Bennie train - Ade should consider himself lucky...

The difference there is that Pandev was actively blocked from leaving as well, which Adebayor certainly wasn't.

Very, very powerful Juju.

I'm working on something as we speak...and yes, it does involve lots of my spunk...and a little capsicum...and maybe a hedgehog toenail or two, but that's all you're getting out of me...this is top, top, top, top, top, top secret.

I'll let you all know when it's ready. :ninja:

The only question I have is whether he is still capable of scoring goals. If yes the past is water under the bridge we should just move on. If not then he doesn't deserve to play anyway.

Most players play for a team without falling out with coach. He obviously does nt want to play football or he would have gone to villa or west ham.make him the most well paid toilet cleaner ever

Football is a job dont ever get that confused, yes it is a very high paying job but it is a job none the less.

im sure a lot of players fall out with their choch but if that coach has people skills there is always a way around things.

If he is earning what is reported I would have him do something we employ him therefore we should make him earn his money he certainly ain't gonna earn it on the pitch and his view of training appears to be somewhat poor. Make him Levy's driver or cleaner or just feckin something instead of just bleeding us dry. Remember it is our wages this clown is getting every week.............he should be ashamed but then this is adebayor the guy has no shame.

The whole thing is just a disaster really. Whilst we could play him, I cast my mind back to his poor performances where he is quite frankly useless, and visibly not making any effort.
And if he is a disruptive influence on the rest of the team then Poch has every right to not want to work with him.
The thing is I struggle to have much sympathy for the club as they knew what they were getting when they drew up the contract.

It's unfortunate but we are getting precisely what we deserve for signing a recognised egocentric fruitcake with a long record of difficult behaviour. Never wanted him and knew it would turn bad at some point.

someone on this site said what has he done to deserve such hat
1,,plenty of times not only turning up late for training but not turning up at all sometimes with family problems as an excuse
2,,at least three times not returning back for training from Africa with several different excuses one of the times he said had problems with his passport but these problems did not stop him from watching a basketball game with his friends in the usa when he was supposed to be at spurs lodge
3..to my mind the most damning . my son and I was watching a particular game and my son said he was hiding meaning he was making sure he did not get into any real physical harm. when we got home we watched the video of the game and sure enough he was making it look like he was challenging but was in fact making sure he did not get into any rough stuff
in the next three games he played in he did not win one header where he might come into contact with his opponent.
what highlighted this situation was that in his first full game harry challenged for every ball in his zone and winning 50% of them
bobby smith would have turned in his grave
if you want this lazy;cowardly cheating tosser to play again for spurs I say you are wrong and misguided

I was at the game where he was being subbed on, and instead of running on he was still tying up his shoelaces... he then just sauntered on, grinning like he was on his way back from a lazy wank.

Said in an earlier post make him train with the under 21s.
Make him travel with them for all of their games but don't play him.
Fine him a weeks wages for every training session missed, and the same for every game he doesn't attend.
He will be begging us to let him go in January and good riddance .
the man is a cancer to this club and must be cut out.

Problem is, his way of begging is "pay me £5 million and I'll go".
He wanted a 1 year contract pay-off in order to go and join a club that would have paid him 3-5 million for the same time period.
The sensible alternative would have been for him to buy out the remainder of his contract and move on, but that doesn't benefit him enough financially.
He's greedy, no two ways about it.

If we are going to pay him but not play him, the best option would be to terminate the contract now, but also ensure that FIFA/UEFA wouldn't allow him to join another club until next Summer.

IF he doesn't find a club in January, I would think we'd probably let the window shut then pay him up for the remaining 4-5 months or so.

That may seem harsh but we're probably being quite fair about it behind the scenes, accommodating in helping him to find another club, agent arrangements, facilities, etc., while we quite clearly want him off the books and have to remain professional.

But if he's determined to stay to not take a wage cut on another move or relocate, then that's what will happen. No one is interested in seeing Ade earn double bubble (pay off in full then another salary elsewhere).

I love how everyone is furious that we haven't got rid of Adebayor, but also furious that we haven't replaced him with Berahino, who is shaping up to be every bit as bad.
indeed - the picture from the PJ this morning was bloody terrifying!!
