we have been hoping so weeks ago...
i was never expecting miracles yesterday, given the way we have been playing, But the performance was abject. Regardless of who we bring in the problems will still be there. Doing nothing last year, basically set us back a year.

I would add a few players to the names in the opening post. At least Lucas Moura and Eric Dier. No other manager would line up 433 and still exclude Dier and Lucas Moura. Especially Lucas. Who the fuck does Pochettino think he is.
He is the manager mate. I'm no happier than anyone else about the current situation but he's entitled to make those decisions until or if DL decides otherwise.

That's where you are wrong.
When you line up 433 and don't start Lucas Moura, you are relinquishing any rights to select the team.

For me, now is when it matters. Starting on Sunday. He has a full week with the players, iron out the problems in training and get back to a winning formula. No more excuses now, its about a performance on Sunday and result to match. If players arent doing it on the pitch then they need to be dropped.
Then if we dont win next Sunday, the weekend after that is when it really matters ?

I'm not pochs biggest fan but we can't sack a manager after losing away to Liverpool they're a better side then us by a mile, Everton is huge, it's season defining if he loses that then get him out asap before it gets real ugly

Christ, it's not about just losing to Liverpool.

It's about the last nine months, not winning away from home since January.

His bizarre team selections and over rotation, his complete lack of tactics in game.

We could win next week and then he'll rotate Winks back in alongside Sissoko in midfield against SU and we'll struggle to break them down.

It's just rinse and repeat, enough is enough.

He's not going to change his stubborn ways.

The thing that pisses me off the most is Lucas Moura not starting away games. He's devestating on the counter and how many games has he won for us.. It's almost like ok he single handedly got us the semi final win, scores loads of crucial goals, but he doesn't press hard enough in training.

Lots of problems at the moment. A perfect storm of various contributing factors including a manager that isn't helping. However....

I genuinely believe second half of season will be far removed from this current shit storm. Just like the band : Blind Faith. Perhaps. But it will be much better.

Chins up! X

Could I respectfully suggest making decisions like this after losing at Liverpool is probably wrong otherwise every team would be making it.

Unfortunately the back story is we have been really bad for the last 9 - 10 months. And if we really couldn't based on just liverfool game alone, the performance and setup of this game just showed Poch is just not doing things differently from the last 9 -10 months that got us so bad.

As we didn't get pumped by Liverpool I think now it will be if we lose to Everton and then to Sheffield Untied at home that will be it. The Sheffield United game is a massive banana skin for him. They're a team who we will be expected to beat. But under Wilder they are a well drilled, tactically sound team with hunger and passion despite the level of player they have in the side. Exactly the kind of team we don't want to let get the first goal.

yep, when we sit back and try and counter attack he leaves Moura out, and when we play bus parkers who leave no space behind he starts him.

Rotation is fine if you are clever about it. Poch is not.

Sorry Poch you dug your own grave with that team selection at Liverpool and compounded it further by being totally inactive when we were fortunate to be 1-0 up at half time. The win and team selection against Red Star now seems like an anomaly ( like the Palace game ) and not some turning point and lessons being learned from him. With the players we have at our disposal a manager that knows what he’s doing can still salvage something from this season but I’ve totally lost faith that Poch is that man.

A poor result against Everton surely will be the final, final straw?

He's dodged the bullet after a shit start to the season, embarrassing results against Colchester, Bayern and Brighton and has seemingly fallen out with half the squad.

The caveat that he needs money etc would extend to any manager we have in January so he can only be judged on his current performance which isn't good enough. Its a results business and I simply refuse to believe that no other manager could have had us performing better than 12 points from 10 games.

They're not the flavour of the month but I'd have my mortgage on Howe, Wilder, Dyche or even some idiot like Warnock having more points with the tools he has, however flawed those tools might be.

If you're not happy with the players you have, or they aren't performing, change them. He has a squad full of experienced internationals. They aren't shit players. Yes Aurier is rash, yes Rose is done. In that case you play Foyth and Davies until you're able to bring in better quality.

We've played about 5 different formations this season. Liverpool have played 1. Says it all.

I think Poch is just trolling us now and this is just another thing for him to do this with
