He was but has basically stopped defending entirely the last few years in favor of being an attacker. Whether that is system or player is anyone's guess.
To be honest if we end up with Hojbjerg, Skipp, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Dele and Aouar all of them can defend

Not really a fan but let's swap him for Tanguy. Hopefully, he'll at least try to be fit and not sulk as much ?

Seems to me Aouar coming in means it's curtains for Tanguay

Surely Tanguy has to be going back to Lyon for this one? I just can't understand how this transfer takes place when we're already struggling to find a proper fit for GLC, we already have Winks and Sissoko on the bench and N'Dombele in street clothes without enough squad space for European registration. And I think it's still a mad transfer even if Sissoko is the one leaving. Sissoko's replacement should be a CDM. The squad is already unbalanced with the inability to find a system that can accommodate Dele, N'Dombele, and GLC in a creative/playmaking midfield role as it is. Adding Aouar to that cluster of misfits is nuts.

I don't know much about this situation but I read arsenal are getting closer to an Oldegard deal so maybe that takes away a possible stumbling block.
That said I'm not sure this guy is who I'd want to see in a Spurs shirt.

He was far more highly rated than Vlahovic is right now at one point and now half the forum don't want him. Personally I haven't seen him play for a while so can add absolutely nothing useful here.
