- Levy trying to do Ade deal. Doesnt know how far along negotiations are. Accepts Ade is a risk but said if you cant pay £35 mill and £250k a week ofr a player, you have to gamble.

- Levy working on a couple of other deals too. Central midfield is an area we are looking at improving on

- Levy is in US at the moment, working his socks off trying to get things done.

- Would like to have 7 or 8 fewer players in squad, with one or two quality replacements and use some youth.

- Team staying at St Andrews hotel. Was hard to find closer hotel due to Edinburgh festival

- we essentially have no fit central midfielders, other than Livermore.

Think that's the lot. Nothing earth shattering

On the central mdfield point, he said he's looking to get someone in from abroad so I'm guessing he was hinting at Diarra.

Thanks very much. Why is Levy in the USA, what deals is he doing over there?

He has a home in Florida IIRC, his family's probably on holiday there and he's gone with them but is working from there to get deals done.

Just a guess, of course.

What about Niko 'King of Kings' Kranjcar?

Harry 'The silver fox' Redknapp showed a suspicious amount of foresight wodging him into the centre during pre-season.

Since he's a monosyllabic oaf, incapable of cogent thought. I say: accident or foul play.

When are any of his interviews, excluding post match, necessary. Never known a manager to spend so much time talking pointlessly to the media. bless him...

It is a 'Spurs thing' to start the new season with no apparent direction or plan in mind! It is not helping (nor has it ever helped) our prospects of even moderate success, and 4th place looks increasingly distant...day by day...again.
Wait fir the Modric departure announcement and we will see where we actually seem to be? Lower and lower....and no real prospect of meaningful success (as of now). I fear for us....but, being a true yid, I have faith in the God's of Football COYS!

The way he said it wasn't really negative, and IIRC it was in answer to a question "Isn't he a risk Harry?" He said if he comes and plays as he can do he'll be brilliant for us, but if he comes and doesnt perform its not a biggy as he's only on loan. Also said he murdered us when we played Real Madrid and had one fantastic season at Arse where he was virtually unplayable.

I'm still not sold on Ade. My gooner mate can't stand him. Says he can be very lazy, always offside, blows hot and cold and is disruptive. I think a try before you buy deal is quite astute business.

Best bit for me, hopefully we can get shot of a load but time is running out, also a small squad would allow us to increase our highest earners and become more competitive in the transfer market. Always good to see youngsters given a chance, give me a home grown player over a signing any day

Typical Redknapp spouting shit. Fancy saying that the 'Adebayor deal's a no brainer because if he doesn't perform we haven't lost anything'. Safety first Harry. Except if he doesn't perform we probably will lose something, being european football and our best players.

Yet You have Ade in your team for a title challenge in your sig. Nothing like an agenda.

it is a no brainer - if he doesnt perform then we dont lose out massively like we have on players like Bentley. If he does well then we have the option to buy him.

No players can guarantee where you finish. I can see why you have had so much negative rep - bad post.

Completely irrelevant

I didn't say we shouldn't get him! I'm just pointing out Harry's main worry signing a striker is if they FAIL and makes him look bad, this takes the pressure off a bit. He shouldn't be spouting this negative shit about the deal before it's even gone through. Least if he does sign, Adebayor knows the pressure's not on him to be a success, the manager said so.:duh:

Just sick of Redknapps amateurish negative BS.
