Why is so important for BM to tell the world how much they paid for him?
And TBF, why did Levy need to comment on it a couple of weeks back.

Wasn't Levy asked if there was a buyback clause?
Don't remember him discussing the fee, although I could be wrong there.

Ah, I probably misread the reporting then, Talked about the price and assumed it was a quote.
Question still stands, Why is so important for BM to tell the world how much they paid for him?

Everyone’s a hero in their own story…. Bayern want to make it sound like they bartered and haggled us down to get him on the cheap rather than have it be assumed that they buckled and had to pay over the odds for a 30yr old in the final year of his contract.

No story here but no doubt some people will get angry about it

In the world of anti-social media you get your version of ‘the truth’ out there and wait for others to take the bait and create a storm. Best thing to do is keep a dignified silence or quote the Queen (Recollections may vary)

From the Mirror:

England captain Harry Kane admits he will always be a Tottenham fan - and is delighted to see them top of the league.

Kane left Tottenham in the summer in a £100m move to Bayern Munich to fulfil his burning ambition of winning trophies. Bayern striker Kane says he is loving life in Germany but says he is still a big Spurs fan and was full of praise for Ange Postecoglou.

Kane said: “It's great to see. I think I've said before, the manager is doing great for them with the way they're playing. The fans are right behind the team and it's definitely what they needed after the last few years.

“I'll always keep an eye on Spurs and the Premier League . Of course, there's still along way to go, but like the manager said, there's no reason why the fans shouldn't be excited and happy with the way things are going. Hopefully they can continue.

“I have made it clear my whole career I am a Tottenham fan and I would love to see Tottenham do well. There is no other team in the Premier League I would want to win than Tottenham.

“Also, I have to be respectful to Bayern Munich and of course, the fans know I will always have a soft spot for Spurs - there is no question about that - but I have got to put all my attention on Bayern Munich and to make us as successful as possible.

“So, I know there will be questions, for sure, particularly when Tottenham are doing well. Of course, I hope they do as well as possible but my main attention is where I am now and trying to perform for Bayern.”

Kane has started with a flourish in Munich but says German lessons - he has only managed four sessions - are going slowly but enjoyed beer and sausages with part of Oktoberfest.

He added: “In general, if you’d have told me before the transfer this is what I’d be on, the amount of goals and assists and wins, I’d have taken that so definitely happy with that.

“With most football teams, a lot of the routines are the same. Little stuff like Champions League nights, away nights, after the game we have a big dinner with the sponsors and everything like that which was quite unique, I’ve never been a part of that.

“Obviously it’s great when you win but I can imagine it’s pretty brutal [when you lose]. I think that’s why Bayern have won 30 odd games in the group stage because that dinner would be a bit harsh if we lost!”

So there you have it. Tottenham legend through and through. Makes sense why he doesn’t post on social media. He’s playing for a European giant, and has a new fan base that he needs to please. I don’t think they will take too kindly if he starts tweeting about us. The other ex players who do tweet and like are not playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

He's jealous as fuck, man... punching the wall every night in regret, like De Niro in Raging Bull.

Nice to see Harry sharing a moment with Vicario at the final whistle.

His second goal reminded me of that brilliant run against Dortmund in the Champions League (also at Wembley).

Watching him tonight and it’s difficult not to imagine what his ruthlessness in front of goal could have added to our already impressive season.

I forget about him until England play now and then nights like tonight I begin to wonder what if instead of Richarlison with Kulu, Son and Maddison playing front foot football... Saw a glimpse in pre-season.

Oh well at least I don't have to worry about his injury status every week until the summer now.

I know man, don't do it. I know it was "only a friendly" but that last game he played, where he scored 4. That was a big indication of how good he would have been with that midfield of Maddison, Bissouma and Sarr/Bentancur behind him. I genuinely think he would have had his best season yet. But hey... if you ask me its all working out for everyone so far.

I feel like he is wasted in this Bayern side. The likes of Sane are so greedy and never pass. :ROFLMAO:

I think he’d absolutely have adapted to and played well under Ange and in this system but I think the uncertainty around his future would mean that we’d not have had the team spirit which we’ve had this season and whilst we might have thrashed a few teams and Kane would’ve scored a lot of goals, I’m certain we’d be worse off results and points wise overall and wouldn’t be top right now if we still had Kane.

Like you said, great move all round.
