Fuck me, what was he supposed to do, audition for a Kleenex advert? ;)

This morning I've seen people say you could tell he was emotional and others that he showed none. It's micro analysis and body language interpretation at it's finest :D
Leave them A&C, I think they're are just hurting and looking to distract from their hurt, I remember Hoddle leaving, I was devastated (or so I thought), till Gascoigne came along!

Hope he wins everything and Bayern put every English team out of the champions League with Harry scoring every match. English media have been pushing for him to leave for years. Let them reap what they sow.

I am just absolutely gutted he couldn't stay and try to break Shearer's record. He could do it in 1.5 seasons under such attacking setup by Ange and we have Maddison.

Only 2 more years bro, after which you can walk into any team as a living immortal showing everyone your name etched in every human records as the all-time PL goal scorer and still win the trophies (which we might have already won some) you craved at 32 years old, long long ample years ahead.

The thing is, people seem to think it shows him as arrogant.

I actually think it makes the board look incredibly insecure. Looking to blame, than accept fault and move on. That makes me concerned.
You're looking at this in a very personal/parasocial way. There's no fault or blaming here.

It's not wrong for them to say that they wanted Kane to stay and would have paid him the same amount as Bayern nor is it wrong to imply that they couldn't let him leave on a free to a competitor. It's a decision they've made that many here seem to agree with and they are communicating that.

Even if they believed that they've cost us our only possible chance of having any kind of success ever and destroyed 20 years of progress, It doesn't make sense or do any good to start flagellating themselves publicly. Someone has to look after the interests and appearence of the club.

Yeah he’s upset the militant fan base so much that even more will put their tickets on the exchange this season so more tourists to snap them up

Record breaking matchday income this season👍🏼
I guess more tourists = more club shop spending but just to be accurate, the club don’t make money from the ticket exchange on a ticket per ticket basis. The ridiculous booking fee goes to ticket master.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s obvious that the club would mention trying to keep Harry and him wanting a new challenge in the leaving message? I mean we can’t be seen to be letting our record goalscorer (and one of our greatest ever players) walk away without a fight?

I acknowledge Levy’s absolute failure on the football side in recent years (he failed the whole club not just Kane btw), but I don’t think this message is something to attack him over.

I think he’d be getting pelters if he didn’t mention trying to keep him and treated this as a normal sale.

Do you not think it goes without saying that we would have wanted one of our greatest ever players still at his peak to stay and offered him a new contract?

It doesn’t need spelling out in the first statement of a farewell message….. unless it’s done with a purpose. It’s about as weasel like as a Tory government statement.

They’re ****s the lot of them.

Kane goodbye statement ends with it’s not goodbye because you never know how things pan out in the future…

The crowing from rival fans is the worst part, honestly. Pretending they care about his legacy or whatever. Just didn’t want him to be here. Pricks.

I agree. it’s quite a helpful statement. It gives us absolute proof that he wouldn’t even consider losing HK for free. Despite having not paid a penny for him. And him giving us the best chance of a successful season. Money beat ambition as always and he will never change.

So pleased I grabbed those shaktar tickets now.

I'm not overly bothered by the club statement. It was obvious something like that was going to be in it. People would be going crazy if the club statement was just "So long and thanks for all the goals". People moan when the club don't communicate why they do what they do, and when they do try to communicate it (badly, fair enough on that) people still moan.

H's video was classy. Apart from that wobble in 2021 he has stayed the model pro throughout. Tomorrows game will be a bit surreal.

4 years is a long time in football. I'm not convinced he'll be back as a player. It's just an emotional statement in the heat of the moment. Rooney said it when he left Everton. Poch said it when he left us, and I'm sure countless other players have said it over the years.

Wish Harry all the best and I hope he and his family enjoy their time in Germany.

I'm glad the game is tomorrow. Can refocus back on Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

COYS.

Yeah, you're right. The ridiculous takes are wearing thin but now isn't the time. having said that, if people want to distract from their hurt they should stick pins into their testicles.

yeah, I know they’re different characters and personalities but Moura seemed so much more emotional and also to get what being part of a club and family means
Very different people. South American passion and emotion I think is more worn on the sleave.

To me it was obvious, that this was not an easy decision for him. The emotion was clear in his eyes.
