I really hope this isn’t their send off.

Chairman, Daniel Levy, said: “We sought over a long period of time to engage Harry and his representatives in several forms of contract extension, both short and long term. Harry was clear, however, that he wanted a fresh challenge and would not be signing a new contract this summer. We have reluctantly, therefore, agreed to his transfer.

I don’t get why he needed to say this.

It won't be long before he regrets this move not that he will ever admit it. The weekend of the first NLD of the season Bayern are at home to Bochum! Tuchel has convinced him they can win the CL but they will breeze through the group so apart from 1 game in the league against Dortmund its just rolling over teams he hasn't even really heard of until the CL knockout stages in late February. I don't think he will be back though. He will stay 3 years, 3 chances of the CL and 2 International tournaments, and then head to the MLS. Probably Florida for the golf and Disney for the kids.

There’s no way he’s not back in the prem in 3 years. He’ll be taking penalties for Bournemouth in his 40s till he’s done Shearers record

Despite thinking it was the right thing to sell, I think the message including talk about his contract forcing the decision isn't needed.

Should have just thanked him and wished him well.

Just an air of resignation in his message that he had to move. He is a world class player and deserves to be consistently challenging for the big prizes, something we are never going to be built to do under the megalomaniac and ENIC. Sad but not unexpected as this was always on the cards. Good luck to him and hope he can pick up the CL.

Levy, the real reason he's leaving isn't because he didn't want to sign a new contract. It's because you fucked the football side for several seasons, starting with not signing anyone for 18 months, not backing Poch to rebuild, hiring three managers who were appallingly unsuitable for us, not backing them either, failing to fix gaping holes in the squad, failing to move on players who weren't working out, doing the bare minimum with signings and generally showing more interest in go karting than success on the pitch.

Edit: off topic, really?

Good luck to the guy. We've had some fantastic seasons out of him and I don't blame him for not wanting to start another project. I hope that he does well personally. Now he's gone, we're not reliant on him and we can look forward to seeing what we can do without him.

That comment from Levy about the contract, fuck off you ****.

Putting the blame on Kane when it is his fucking fault that he fucked everything so badly that Kane wanted to leave.

I can’t stand him.
Yeah not very classy. Especially as it's the first thing Levy's statement focuses on. Says a lot about the man.

Ive bored more son to death from 5 years old going on and on about what a privilege it was to have watched Glenn Hoddle. My son will no doubt bore his son and my grandson to death about tails of Harry Kane.

With Levy and football there's always excuses and pettiness.

Exactly - what a wanky message from our chairman - yet another epic fail pushing it all back on Kane. Levy and ENIC failed Kane and all us fans by not investing at a time we were really pushing for trophies and here we are.

luckily almost all fans will see through that club statement and the vitriol towards the owners will continue to be strong.

sums up Levy that.
The contract stuff could have been left out of a goodbye to one of our best ever players. Classless from the chairman in my opinion.
