I didn't like that either, but Sheringham had been with us for a while and Klinsmann was only with us for a season before leaving for....Bayern fucking Munich.
I know, but it had been shit for a while, then he came in and gave us a massive lift. My first game ever was away to Palace. He scored a free kick.

He felt like a catalyst for improvement, it went belly up with him leaving.

I don't get the arguments about Ange using him in pre-season. Harry is/was our player until things are signed off. If Bayern had baulked at our first refusal and never came back then Kane would have been behind the rest of the squad.

I also don't understand why it's "sickening" that we've been doing our transfer business behind the scenes with Kane's departure in mind. It's pretty sensible if anything, else we could have ended up not having a shot at better players because we'd spent half our cash on lesser ones.

If everyone knew we were buying with a view to Kane going, the prices that were already high would be higher, and infact any purchases we now make will have Kane tax on them!

Yeh agreed, but it might not have been a bad idea to rotate and have Richarlison run out with the “first XI” too and try and get some cohesion there.

Hojberg also played most of that game though and he's meant to be off too. Pretty sure Ange has thought about it...

This makes sense. Was Richy fit for Sunday’s match though? Also arguably Barca was a bigger test.

Kane played 435 times for Spurs and won nothing at club level.

Tomorrow, it's possible he plays 1 game and wins his first major trophy.

I agree. I see him back in the PL next summer.
Comes back swinging his winners medals, says ‘how you like me now bitch?’ to anyone who’ll listen then walks straight back into the Spurs team to quietly win fuck all for the rest of his career.
