Sad state of affairs if so.That's why I said if its done but it seems to be the consensus, at the moment anyway.

That’s not trueKane although a generational talent has pushed for this move for 2+ years now. He’s always been a model professional but the city debacle felt like he was just going through the motions with us last few years. By all accounts in media and ITK there was nothing the club could do to convince him to stay and sign a new deal.
The very words I was going to type. This club has been stripped of its real assets in favour of some glossy brochure version of what business men think a football club is. Whenever we get close to getting back to what we want Levy rips out the guts again. He’s a fucking masochist.
It only started when Bayern got serious about meeting our valuation. The delay was all on their end in that respect.define quickly lol, This has been going on all summer
He’s not the only one.He didn’t want to be here and the chances of him renewing were extremely slim.
Maybe, but you got the impression after having 3 managers in 3 seasons he wasn’t ready for another project. Ange will hopefully get it right but it will prob require patience and unlikely to see any tangible success in short term. Kane knows that time isn’t on his side if he wants to challenge for titles etc. That’s not true
there was plenty of commentary about potentially signing a deal if meaningful progress under Ange was made
small % chance but well above the zero you imply
Would have screwed us over from a financial standpoint, which at the end of the day, is all that really matters to this clubs owners.Been said a thousand times on here, so why no sound like a broken record. The timing totally fucks is, spend pre-season with Kane as focal point only to sell him 48hrs before first game. I didn’t want him to go but if this was always likely to happen, I wish Ange had been able to only work with players that he’d actually have to use during the season
100% I think when the dust settles, most will be relieved that it’s done and we can just get on with the season under a progressive coach. Love the guy but we didn’t achieve anything with him, so don’t get the assumption from most fans/pundits that we are somehow doomed without him!Anyone else just glad it’s over now?
We’re not selling him because we need the money we’re selling him to prevent him moving to a rival on a free transfer and have the best possible chance of strengthening the team around him. If it was the first reason we’d have sold him to City 2 years ago. Liverpool sold Mane, Chelsea sold Hazard etc etc. My issue is how late it’s been done.Meanwhile, Liverpool just bid 100m for Caicedo having spent 100m already on Szozbolai and MacAllister to completely revamp their midfield, whilst we need to sell our best player to bring in another decent defender.
And people will lap it up and agree. This is a joke. Be prepared for the “squad is too bloated, can’t buy until there are outgoings” talking point after Kane leave.
We will try our hardest to sign players but the transfer window will run out. Levy will pen a letter to fans saying he did everything he could.
This club is a farce.
