You guys realise bayern could sell him straight back to the prem next summer and all that crap will still happen?! There is absolutely no positive from this situation it’s a fucking disaster.
the club is mediocre again and right back at the very beginning of the Levy era rebuild. Only difference is rather than trying to break into the big 5 there’s now 8/9
Rich brilliant clubs.

we’re screwed
I alluded to that myself earlier. Could be just a season or two he ends up back here and Bayern even get their money back on him. So that's something to possibly look forward to. I have other things to brood about RN though.

We had Nuno fucking Santo mate, of course he pushed for a move.

Right?

Berbatov wanted out within 12-18 months of arriving
Keane was a good 1-in-2.5 striker who was elevated by Berbatov and parlayed that into a "dream move" at the first chance he got (at which point he was exposed).
Modric and Bale both left when we were pretty good.

Kane stayed when we were good. Then stayed as we declined. Then agitated for a move but not to the point that he went on strike or would have poisoned the dressing room (e.g. Berbatov). Then like six years after our best side that included Kane, we sold him.

I'm sad he's going but we got way more time out of him than we would have reasonably expected to give his ability and Levy's inability to strike while the iron was hot.

Just gotta pray we have that buyback clause everyone was talking about
If he chooses to go - I don't want him back.

Even in 2 years we will be a different team, in a different place, and with any luck won't be needing to over-pay for an aging striker to back-up Veliz and Scarlett.

10 years down the road, and he wants to come play in a legends game? Sure - it will be fun. Until then - we move forward without him.

Absolutely, as someone that wanted him to stay another year at all costs it was clear that everyone that advocated the sale did so because of the fear of him joining a rival club.

I imagine Levy would go for it, just like he did for Bale.

I think the fact that he was here as long as he was makes it even worse. He should have been here forever, a one club man. Obviously it's partly on him but we haven't matched his ambition for years. Can't blame him really.

Agreed. I get that, but damnit I wanted him to stay more than anything.

It's possible but I struggle to imagine a world where Bayern sell him within a year. He's world class and will be their all time record transfer. Unless he's injured he's as close to a sure fire hit as they're ever likely to find.

He'll be there 3 years I reckon then they'll cash in like they did with Lewandowski.

Man...this hits hard. Great players come and go, but someone like Harry was unique because he was one of our own who made it right to the top as a 'one season wonder'.

I wish him all the best and no bitter feelings towards him. The success on the pitch isn't his fault and no one should blame him for it either.

I hope he gets the titles and cups he wishes for, but even he will know deep down that winning in Germany won't be the same and it won't last long before he realises that titles aren't worth losing the Spurs family for. He will never be loved the same way as spurs loved him.

But either way it's time we move on to the next chapter now. I trust in Ange and I'm confident he will rebuild is better than ever and some new stars will he created. Its just how football is. Legends come and legends go. It's time to create the next set of legends in this new era.

Onwards and Upwards everyone, stay strong, as time will heal and time will also pass to create new memories...and hopefully some silverware to go with it too. COYS

I do agree it should have been done earlier but there are multiple parties involved in a multimillion pound deal. It’s just not that simple. Clearly.

So you are also not happy with how this has been handled – good to know.

Its obviously not simple, but its still quite normal to set a deadline. This would have made it easier to get in decent replacements and overall a more positive start to the season. If x doesn't accept, thats on them.

Moving on from Kane (I’m good at that according to Mr ex’s).
The talk of buying 3 players with the money, is why we never move up.
I know we need another cb and probably a few more, but a big club doesn’t sell a world class player and then replace them with 3 potentially good players, they would take that 100m and buy the very best replacement they could. 3 good players is not equal to 1 world class player.

Obviously you’re right but right now he just feels like some bloke who’s going to play in Germany and whose games no one is going to watch.
Oh 100% mate. Gone to a nothing league with 2 decent sides that nobody gives a shit about. Chrst no ones cared about what's going on in Germany since 1945. Harsh but true.

Still better than him scoring against us for united in a few months time ain't it.

If we had nothing more than a mediocre chairman Harry would still be with us
if there was even the smallest hint of ambition from the owners he would still be with us

but let’s face it, a flukey win against Brentford and we will be happy clapping our way to the first home game. We accept our mediocre owners with the just the occasional grumble in the stands

sorry, but in absolute despair again. We are being held hostage by yacht man and coys Danny. What will happen to that 100m? How much will be used to pay for Levy‘s annual performance bonus?

What a sad, painful and protracted full stop this is on a remarkable Spurs career for Harry and an awful 3/4 years for the club. He deserved more from the club, and we as fans deserved to see him win with us.

£100mil for a 30 year old in the last year of his deal is on paper good business, but what a massive loss he’ll be. Up the Spurs though, and fully believe in Ange to be the man to lead us through this. And best of luck to Harry too.

Absolutely fuming😡

I named my horse Kane in RDR2 and I don’t think I can re-name him.

Now I’m gonna have to shoot it in the head.
Bloody Daniel got a lot to answer for-I loved that horse.
