Those players will cost far more than we're getting for Kane no?
Yep I'm hoping with some anticipated outgoings like PEH, Tanganga, Sanchez etc + a little left over in this summers budget + the Kane money would get us enough for those 3 or 3 similar.

Schuurs or Tapsoba e.g. €40-60mil
Eze e.g €35mil
Orban €30mil

Some of you lot baffle me.

He's our all time record goalscorer yet you talk about him like he's Rasiak or Adebayor.

Yes he pushed for a move 2 years ago, wouldn't you in his shoes? The lack of backing to the squad we all moan about, yet when a player does it he's a traitor or something?

If your work place promised upgrades to your office or whatever job you did, year after year and didn't deliver, even if the workplace was one where you started out as a kid, been their for 10+ years and still the company hasn't done what they said, another similar job by another company comes in and offers more money with everything you wanted from your current place, would you stay or go?

We had Nuno fucking Santo mate, of course he pushed for a move.

There’s no way Kane didn’t say he was fit to play.

And if we’re arguing a lack of ambition - wasn’t the ownership that lost winnable cup games to Milan, Forest and Sheffield United last season.

Probably the other 10 or so players had something to do with that too, including a defence that we have all repeatedly made clear is not good enough

You guys realise bayern could sell him straight back to the prem next summer and all that crap will still happen?! There is absolutely no positive from this situation it’s a fucking disaster.
the club is mediocre again and right back at the very beginning of the Levy era rebuild. Only difference is rather than trying to break into the big 5 there’s now 8/9
Rich brilliant clubs.

we’re screwed

I'm gutted but imagine how much harder it would have been to watch him go to another team in the PL. He'll be out of sight, out of mind in Germany. If he'd rocked up at City, United or Liverpool then for the rest of his career we'd have been subjected to daily reminders of all of the failures that led to this moment.
I couldn't handle watching him wear another pl jersey. Fuck that!

My job doesn’t have 60,000 people sing about how I’m one of them every week. He either gets the adulation or he can treat it like it’s just an office job: not both. He lapped it up like it meant more. Apparently, it didn’t.

So we will never get to see a Vicario, Porro, Romero, Van De Ven, Udogie, Bentancur, Bissouma, Maddison, Son Kulusevski Kane starting XI, the closest thing I've seen on paper resembling a rebuild after the initial and moronic cheap as chips sale of Dembele.

We simply have to go all out for Orban, Tapsoba or Silva and another (Olise clause fee looking more and more interesting by the day).

Devastating news as for me he is Spurs but unfortunately inevitable if Harry wasn't playing ball with what the bare minimum needed it seems.

Who's the 3 we get?

“Pushed for a move” must be the most euphemistic way of describing going on strike I have seen.

Kane was top earner at the club and never cost us a fee. FFP wise the deal is probably worth 2/3x the actual fee in spending power.

Obviously the jury is out on whether Levy will actually spend it.

Should be able to get Eze, Tapsoba/Silva and Orban if that is what Ange wants. No excuses financially.

‘Ambition’ - we were in a European Cup final Harry and you did nothing. Can’t always be everyone else.

I know Levy’s fucked a lot of things but I’m mostly annoyed that this guy got unquestioned adoration, tried to leave, still had adoration, and now is forcing a move right before the season starts. I really don’t think he cares about us, and I feel sorry for the fans who believed he did.

We've played three finals and had two title challenges whilst Kane was here.

2014/15 LC Final - he was 21 years old

2018/19 CL Final - he was injured but played not fully fit at he was our only striker other than a 33 year old Llorente

2020/21 LC Final - he was injured but played not fully fit at he was our only striker

2015/16 Title Challenge - top scorer in the league with 25 goals

2016/17 Title Challenge - top scorer in the league with 29 goals.

I know many are hurting but this narrative that he hasn't turned up when it matters is false. He was injured for 2/3 of the cup finals we played in and was a kid in his second season for the other and he finished top scorer in the league the two seasons we challenged for the title.

We had a great XI back then but we never truly built a squad capable of competing.

Can't always be everyone else but it also can't always be on one person to deliver.
