This feels like you (bayern) are trying to date someone who is still hung up over their ex (spurs) but also wants to be single and wants a hot girl summer

Starting to see a few people worried that he might leave for free next year now - what else were you expecting to happen if we didn't sell to Bayern this window?

Not trying to be negative, but I don't see any way Kane signs a new contract with us.
What I have felt recently.

I was originally on the side of keeping him one year and seeing how it goes but then Ange seems like he may be able to get is firing even without him so I kinda was happy to see him leave as long as it is out the PL.

And the more you think about it, I think he made up his mind a long time ago. If he gets a brilliant offer from abroad now that can elevate him, he may go for it.

But he isnt in a rush as he knows he can leave for free next summer and he has simply seen too many false dawns here under this leadership.

The ONLY way I see him resigning is if Ange does far better than expected (push for a title, win a trophy) AND we get a takeover from ambitious owners who can sell it to him.

I just think he (like us) knows Levy all too well and knows that no matter what we will come up short.

I know nobody really knows whats going on and we are all jumping to differing conclusions

But this could get pretty messy :(

Great way to start A New Era, COYS

id hate this shit to drag into tomorrow's preparations. everyone training needs to be fully focused on Brentford.

If you feel that way then fair enough, I'm torn myself. I just wonder how many who say keep him no matter what will feel in a year if he leaves to utd for nothing. I suspect many will be singing a different tune about how negligent we were to let this happen.
Yeah you are right, some people will think that without bearing in mind that Levy can’t force HK to leave to BM now and it has been a clear risk he wouldn’t sign a new contract for a few years now.

The argument that if Levy had invested more HK might want to stay is fair but wholly speculative.

if he plays for Utd then I’ll feel exactly the same as when Teddy did. And I’ll give him exactly the same amount of abuse and hope he fails and never wins a trophy.

More like Kane can date a hotter girl now or wait and date the hottest in the world next year.

If/When Kane doesn't sign for Bayern do you think he will write them a nice letter thanking them for their interest in him?
He should just send them a picture of

If he doesn’t move this summer I think he ends up at City next summer which I wouldn’t begrudge, he deserves a club that wins things.
But in the meantime, the collateral damage is Ange, his team mates and harmony in the squad.

I can't believe for a second we want a Harry Kane farewell tour spanning the season when it'll be increasingly apparent his future (and commitment) is elsewhere.

Off-topic but this is the best thread to ask in. Anyone notice any server issues? Today's been our busiest day of the window so far and I was expecting a few issues but things seem to have been fine on my end.
No issues a part from taking 5 minutes away to do some work only to see the thread bumped up 20 pages 🤦🏼‍♂️

The ball is now firmly in Harry’s court. Levy has backed him into the corner, you want to leave Tottenham? Well, you will have to face the music, the fans, your legacy and come out say that yourself. By refusing this out Levy gave him to Bayern, Harry will risk what he has built here at Spurs depending on his future decisions of leaving on a free. Maybe he values this club and his legacy so much that he will somewhat be forced into a new contract. Harry is a nice guy who doesn’t like any sort of negative reputation around that would result of leaving Spurs on a free to PL rival next year.

Why in the flying fuck would you blame that on Levy? He did the right thing not entertaining bids from City, he has accepted a bid from Bayern to stop him going to a rival, and is pushing for a contract renewal i he doesn’t go there. Along with the masterstroke of getting Kane to sign a long term contract, I would say he has done a really good job with him.
If Kane chooses to a rival for free next year, after using our entire summer pushing for a move to Bayern, then I’d say Kane has put himself above the club and he could fuck off.

Simple, because if he was able to sustain a competitive team then Kane would stay.

The list of mistakes made on the footballing side since the peak of the Poch era are plain to see. Not to mention us leaving pretty much every transfer window 1-2 players short of where we really need to be.

I don't own a purple and gold scarf, but it's clear as day to me.

Kane leaving isn't greed, it's losing faith in his club's - and more specifically it's owner's - capability to match his ambition.

In terms of the business transactions he's dealt with them well, shame about the footballing side...

I think this is the right approach personally. We need some kind of commitment from him. It's not good for anyone to have a whole season of uncertainty again.
For me though there is no uncertainty. I'm certain he will give his all in every game he plays for us and that's all I care about.
