This would be so weird/funny.

All the media furore around it, all the pundits saying 'he has to go'. For him to turn it down would be hilarious.

If he does, it makes Bayern look like total tw*ts.

How/why would you put all your eggs in this basket, only to have the player say no at the end? Surely they've been speaking to him throughout, making sure it's worth their while to negotiate.

I would also say that for Harry, it would also not be a great look to then leave on a free, which I suspect he will in a year's time...unless we get back into the CL.

Interesting times. Can't quite remember a saga like it...apart from the when City tried to buy him that is

This could just be me, but does anyone else think this might be a ploy by the board to water down the fans?

I reckon they've got wind of Kanes feelings towards staying, but not signing a deal. Therefore the club have accepted the bid from Bayern knowing that he was going to turn it down.
Kane goes for a free next summer, the club can say they accepted a fee but it was Kane that turned it down, making Kane out to be the villain!

Just a thought
I see it the other way round.

The club leaking this to the press would be terrible PR as it shows the fans that Levy was willing to sell their best ever player and it was only Kane turning it down that stopped that happening. It would just feed into the narrative that Levy/ENIC will do anything for money.

5th qualifies for CL next year regardless. Not sure if a prem team winning pushed that to 6, but probably.

EDIT a league can’t have more than 5 CL spurs, so I was wrong there, would never go to 6.
It’s this year and only determined on the leading scores of the countries representatives and how far they get believe Italy and England would have got the 5th slot last year due to their runs in European comps and I believe with that rule there can be more than 6 but that all depends if Liverpool/ 😂 westham finish outside the top 5

Kane signing a short term contract could also be way of getting money to Charlie Kane which has been one of the Kane family’s objectives in all this.

I don’t see why he wouldn’t if a club he likes comes knocking?
He can only sign with a foreign club.

If he stays the year - and has even just a decent season - he will be too close to the PL record to walk away, imo. If a team wants him in January, they will want him in June. I think he will explore his options then - rather than commit in January.

Poor sod has seen that Bayern need a DM and are about to loan in Kepa to be their keeper for the year, and looks up from his phone at Bissou and big Vic...you can't blame the guy.
