I take it that as the deadline has passed he’s not now going ? Deadline of midnight what a load of tosh
Seems like the deadline was for Bayern to give their best offer.
Now down to us to find replacements, although I can’t see other teams being aware how much we have to spend.

Not that I know if there was a deadline or not but if there was I'm sure that would have been to submit an appropriate offer, not for it to be announced to the world. They have done that.

I'm not emotionally prepared for this. Whilst we're not and never have been the Harry Kane team, you see Kane and you think of Tottenham, you see Tottenham and you think of Kane.

It's so sad that the media and social media have created this environment where he believes trophies (apparently any will do) are required to cement his legacy.

I think we'll be OK, but the fact this is happening so close to the start of the season, combined with our pretty shambolic preseason so far, likely means we're going to start very slowly.

I hope I'm wrong but we've had essentially one competitive game, whereas Brentford have had several, and we're about to have the heart of the team ripped out. The opening day could be messy.

While Kane leaving is undoubtedly upsetting, what is really bothering me right now is that the journalist with the shirt has won.

Fuming.
That’s your concern? I couldn’t care less about that.

‘He’s won’. Wrong.

What kind of person would do what he did? Basically, a total loser. I don’t care if he gets a boner about what he did or the fact that they’re getting Harry. Ultimately, he’s a bell end, not worth giving two thoughts to

As Trix has already alluded to, The Goat also hears that an acceptable offer has been received. So I guess it's just a matter of time now.

Gutted won't get to see him play for us again under an attacking manager.
Shit start to a Saturday

Well time to start adjusting to life without Harry Kane.

Hopefully we've not compromised our original position on what an acceptable offer is and made Bayern meet our demands.

From what i'm hearing, we haven't, or at least they got close enough, but nothing concrete.

It'll be interesting what they admit to though. I always thought 'undisclosed fee' might be the face saver on one side or the other :D

Psychologically it's going to be a massive sucker punch. The players will be professional but it's still going to take a lot to start the season well.

So what is an acceptable offer? It was always said £100 million was what we required and the reported offers are at £86 million. Seems like we settled.......

We usually started the season pretty badly with Kane. Can't see it making a huge difference.

Yes and no. Harry’s a different player to when Eriksen was here. Think Maddison will be more suited to a typical 9 personally

Harry has proven time and time again he can be that no 9 though, just because he can play deeper too doesn't mean he can't play the no 9 role, just means he has more stings to his bow than the majority of other strikers out there.

Feel strangely cold about the whole thing. Mentally I think I've already moved on from him being a Spurs player. Good luck to him and everything, but I hope we don't do any gushing montage, or any last 'lap of honour' at the weekend. Can't speak for anyone else but if I were there I'd be a bit 'why is he here? this feels weird'

Will probably feel different when he retires, but for now just go and get your shiny metal and leave us to move on.
