Richy is toilet, shouldn't be anywhere near our starting 11
So…

Successfully led the line at the World Cup for the greatest footballing nation the world has ever known, scoring one of the most impressive WC goals ever seen along the way

but could never quite take that next step up to be worthy of starting for Spurs…

if Kane is really gone there is an opportunity for numerous really good players to step into the void left, albeit by one our greatest

Will be devastating to lose our greatest ever player. It’s unlikely we will ever have one of our own become as good as Harry. His decision to leave his boyhood club in search of actually winning something is a confirmation of the mess levy has made of a club that was champions league runners up four years ago. Just imagine how many bad decisions had to be made to go from there to here.

That said, we will probably win a trophy without him next season. Just how this mental club works.

Rich certainly presses better than Kane, but he also has 49 PL goals in 200 games. So needs to step up big time. Yes, we also have Maddison now (which is great), but in essence Rich/Maddison replace Kane and the third CB in the starting XI (compared to Conte’s 3-4-3). Hopefully they will be able to replace Kane’s goals.

Expected the ITK to confirm it soon but still hurt to read. A generational talent, the best striker in the world and one of our own, with nothing for us to show for it.

Thanks for everything H. Have a couple years in Germany and then come back to finish the job with your club.

That’s as maybe. But people need to stop kidding themselves that this is going to pay for a rebuild. Without Kane we currently look no stronger than Leicester did going into last season. I’m not saying we’ll end up where they did, but I can’t see us getting Europe without him. We’ll be 8th -12th.

I think it could go either way. It’s why getting Ange those centre back in early in the window was key. Yet we didn’t and haven’t yet. If VDV comes in he’s a kid with a week to go before his first PL game, I can’t see Ange picking him in that so it will probably be Romero and Dier at centre back v Brentford’s pacy attack. If we play Ange’s usual high line tactics against that we will be blown away in the first half.

If we sell Kane before then, getting back in the game becomes even harder. I just wouldn’t sell him, the money we get back in just isn’t enough to invest back into the side, we need more.

Apologies if it's found its way here already but O Keefe is saying the numbers being discussed are higher than the media are saying

It would suit us to keep the numbers lower in the media if negotiating for other players.

Will be gutted if he leaves as looks very likely now. What I will not miss will be the constant media pressure trying to get Kane to leave us. I'll be very glad to never have to listen to that bullshit ever again.

He has gone to several finals with us where at said finals he did not turn up. We got to the Champions League finals without him , where he made himself available at the finals knowing he was not 100% fit, ie putting himself before the team. Don't fall for the lazy rhetoric fed by the press, that is he needs to move to win something

While Kane leaving is undoubtedly upsetting, what is really bothering me right now is that the journalist with the shirt has won.

Fuming.
Nah he didn't, his job was to pressure the club and help Bayern, it didn't work though as Levy held firm and they still had to pay through the nose for Kane.
We were always prepared to sell him, you can't throw away £100 ish million.
