I'm glad Harry has placed a deadline on his possible departure, but I'm not sure why he has. First I read that Bayern are prompting him to be more proactive in forcing a move, then I read that he has announced his own timeline. Sounds to me like an ultimatum; accept the offer on the table, or I stay and play in the EPL for a rival. Trying to force our leader to back down, or risk getting zero. It's a gamble but they might be confident about the outcome.
I read it all that he’ll stay at spurs, not join a rival, of things progress well enough he’ll sign a new contract etc

If true it probably just shows how.luke warm he is about Bayern. Imagine the guy is back and forth about leaving or not.

Monetary and aspirational reasons aside there must be a lot of things holding him to spurs including his wife and kids.
I think he'll probably let them go with him.

Please provide details
Short answer: immediately start playing in a style that suits Ange's system, whereas either Harry Kane would have to change his game or Ange would have to change his system.

Long answer: watch the following from 4:50 onwards...

If he's not going to sign a new deal we can not allow him to be running out for Poch's Chelsea next season on a free. Just get the deal done Daniel and lets move on.

He's been there before with his preseason being negatively affected by a potential transfer. Regardless of his desire for a move, he knows that letting this spill over into the start of the season is not going to do him any good and he's in a no-lose situation in respect of his situation next summer.

We cant stop him going to any club no matter how many people don’t like it, including me. Kane is in the comfort zone he obviously happy to see out his contract (it doesn’t last very long) we can’t force him to go to a club of our choosing. Any move he makes under his short remaining contract will be one he wants to go to. After that it’s his choice.

I think Bayern will pay up eventually, they've spent the whole summer giving it the biggun and they are used to getting what they want. Reckon it'll be towards the end of the window though despite the apparent deadlines, which will leave us in the shit when it comes to sorting out our own incomings.

yeah i watched that and they are all valid points, you could see that in the preseason friendlies that Kane was dropping way to deep which he does not have to do now in this system. I'm going to the Shaktar game on Sunday so looking forward to seeing the new playstyle Live.

Agree, I dont think they can not go through with it. They have just completely underestimated Levy

Problem for us is, if they do indeed miss this "deadline" and come back with an offer of £100m+ on deadline day, do we expect Levy to say no.. i dont

I get the impression Kane is playing this all out perfectly, he knows that if he sees out his contract he will likely have a much larger pool of teams to choose from, but he also knows that if he leaves on a free, supporters are going to be pissed as we miss out on a financial windfall to either replace him or bolster the squad.
But if he plays along with the notion that he is keen to leave to Bayern as it’s the best outcome for him at the present moment and the club and supporters. now he sets a date that he will only leave by. If that comes and goes his legacy is covered as he looks like he was happy to leave now and help out the club, but he ends up getting what he wants and it looks like it was everyone else’s thought that he wasn’t sold, bloody genius on the pitch and off it

The news seems to have shifted a bit from last night. The mail were reporting last night that Kane was open to signing a new contract if significant progress was made. Now they are reporting that Kane would be willing to buy himself out of his contract to go to Bayern. They are just trying to cover off every possibility. I cant imagine Kane doing that at all.

Next tactic on the Bayern playbook, try and make Kane's position at Spurs untenable
