Tuchel is pretty demanding. We knew that from his Chelsea-days ;) ... here's the link in German (from today) regarding the new defensive midfielder he hopes to get...

So in my opinion Tuchel has so many wishes that Bayern just can't and won't go above 100 mil plus...

It's also something that would hurt Bayern's pride because they think they are the masters of how to run a proper football club without millions/billions from filthy rich owners and crazy TV-deals etc... Hoeness and co. have often slaughtered the Premier League and the clubs for splashing money around and inflating the prices in the market... like the Saudi's do now.

Maybe we can sell them Højberg for €85m instead?

Well based on that his heart hasn’t been in it since we turned down City, and he’s scored 50+ goals for us since then. So think he’ll do ok for us if here next season.
We’re all second guessing what he’s thinking. But the tangibles are, improve the problem positions (defence) and hope that Ange can get us playing good, winning football. After that, if he still wants to go, so be it. BUT if things go well next season, maybe we can be back in CL and maybe he’ll think about staying
CL is not enough anymore, Kane has been sold a lie too many times and the time for him to move is either now or next summer.
Levy has no credit left in the bank, and Kane being a decent guy is why Levy will probably get a good fee for him and save some face with the Levy Lovers.

Right Brain won't function today but here are some points I've been told on this
  1. Kane and the FAM/Firm asked the club "Daniel" to sit down with Bayern
  2. Daniel Obliged after discussion as it would be in Tottenham's best interest right now as he won't sign a new deal unless significant progress is made during the season if he stays. He also wants the club to get what's deserved from his departure which softens the blow next summer if contract talks don't resume.
  3. 3 meetings have taken place
  4. Daniel has finally decided with the board what he sees' best for all parties regarding the FEE ££££ (upfront payment and Add On)
  5. Bayern Gulped and asked for time to consider if they can provide this package.
  6. They initially thought that a conclusion would be reached yesterday at lunch in London but the 2 parties were way apart.
  7. Daniel has given them until Friday. otherwise, the price will go up and without a suitable plan which the club is trying to activate if this happens, he will pull any deal with the season approaching and it is getting between preparation and further recruitment for Ange.
  8. Ange doesn't want Harry if he doesn't want Tottenham but this right now sits in between going or staying with Harry.
  9. Lastly If this was a relationship status on Facebook "It is Complicated"

Thanks @What Lies Beneath

The thing that bugs me the most with this is that Levy and the board have had an opportunity here. They could have shown Kane that they’re playing ball by meeting with Bayern and giving them a figure to meet etc, meanwhile they could have really pushed the boat out, got the x2 top CBs and perhaps even another strong signing and shown Kane that things are changing around here, and hopefully entice him in for another ride with us.

The guy is our top scorer of all time and probably our best ever in the PL era, we may never see another like him at the Lane, so he should be worth fighting for. And that’s not just throwing £400k a week at him, it’s showing him that we’re building something around him. (Something we should have been doing ever since the City fiasco two years ago…) Sigh…

Thanks. Great news because it looks like we will win either way.

Looking from the outside in, this fills in quite a few of the blanks. You knew Harry had affection for the club but there were limits to it. The other wildcard in all of this was the commotion going on regarding Kyle Walker's contract and how that has gone down in the dressing room. You would think Harry's reception could be problematic too> He must be exhausted with the drama and just wants to get on and focus on football. He wants to win, but probably not at any cost.

And if this drags on into next week for some unknown reason, the fans need to let him know this weekend how appreciated he is.

I get that, I really do. But as much as a levy is like a leopard changing its spots. Kane has a lot of positives for staying with Spurs. Maybe, and appreciate I’m being unrealistically optimistic, Levy might not make it to the season after this one and there’s more ambitious running of the club

Makes them even more desperate for a forward.
Wouldn't they already have factored in Mane's departure into their most recent offers? I can't see how confirmation of him leaving changes anything from their perspective. Plus, the Bild references all must be taken with a pinch of salt. They've been droning on and on about Kane's future with Bayern ad nauseam. Because all of their info comes from Munich. They are basically telling them what to print to create pressure. To try and get Kane on the cheap.

They know the number. Yet are refusing to meet it. So, I wouldn't be remotely surprised if Kane's camp were starting to get antsy. As Bayern aren't exactly demonstrating much commitment with their approach. And in Harry's own way, he probably cares a lot about how his club is being treated in this process. The way they have conducted themselves so far has been weird. They've approached this as bullies. And now reality has set in. They won't get what they want, the way they want it, at the price they want it. And if they don't get with the program, they may end up empty handed and it will be their own fault.

BTW... Bayern could quickly pull the trigger on a deal with Niclas Füllkrug from Werder Bremen.

Same age and position as Harry Kane. And Germany's no. 1 striker at the moment... that would be a typical Bayern-signing. Füllkrug is open to leaving Bremen as well.

And he would be very cheap compared to Kane.

He's probably the most interesting name when it comes to a plan B if FC Bayern doesn't get their dream player Harry Kane this summer after all... Niclas Füllkrug.

The Werder Bremen striker was the top scorer in the Bundesliga last season with 16 goals – will he soon be chasing goals for Bayern?

Kane-poker: Bayern can't wait.

In recent weeks, the name Füllkrug has been associated with the German record champions time and again. Estimated market value: around 20 million euros. That would be at least a fifth of the likely fee for Tottenham's Kane. Füllkrug made a huge leap last season, was even allowed to go to the World Cup in Qatar and has already scored seven goals in just nine international matches.

However, Bayern are not the only ones interested in the striker. Most recently, Niclas Füllkrug was also traded at Bayer Leverkusen and clubs from Italy. Nevertheless: Füllkrug is a candidate for the German record champions, but a Plan B candidate.

Unfortunately my friend Kane has done this for levy 3 previous times and the coin never flipped . It’s like an unhappy marriage you love that person so much but all the spices don’t mix well and the things you seek never arise. both of you would be happier apart on new journeys.

Purely my views on this but I believe the best thing for all involved would be a fresh start and pray to god we have a better overall team that can be nurtured and developed by big ange to have us competing again in the near future .

God I really just hope we stick to that Friday deadline and Bayern either pay up or move on.

it does of course mean 2 things.
1) we only get one of Tops or vDV
2) we’ll have a pissed Richarlson who is champing at the bit for being a regular starter
