I don't trust Levy pre Kane or post kane
There’s no expectations this year from the club on ange . But when Harry departs I’m just worried about the plan they’re going to with . We still haven’t gotten the defenders we require all because we are wasting are time on a player his club won’t sell unless it’s for money we won’t pay. Bartering constantly on targets need to act like a big club and untill we do expect mediocre

If Kane goes we'll probably get one decent CB and a young forward for 40-50m. Best you can hope for under ENIC, always 1-2 players short.

There has been a sense of inevitability that he was leaving for a short while now and it seems this meeting tomorrow will likely confirm that. The name I was given for his replacement was Muani so let's see if the club actually really push for him and make it happen. I don't trust Levy post Kane either but surely he has to target the likes of Tapsoba and Muani otherwise there might be riots.
That is the name they have on the list but he will cost the majority of the Kane fee. I wouldn’t be surprised if we stick with what we have and but a forward bit a no 9 .

What sentiment? He's our best player, massively important to us and nobody has said he will not sign a new contract just not for now. We'll be keeping him because he's our MVP.
Even if it's just one more season he's worth more than 85m to us.
So if you had 105m and a choice to have say Rice between age 24-29 or Kane between age 30-35 which one do you spend on honestly?
The player who is already world class or the one with potential? Who is more likely to help win a Champions League, the one who never played in it or the one who has a great record in it? Who is more likely to win you games? We're talking about a player who just scored 30 league goals. If a young Mbappe is worth over 200m with 1 year left I fail to see how Kane is worth less than half. Especially given how well Lewandowski and Benzema are into their mid 30s and Kane is showing no signs of slowing down.

He will not sign a new contract.

He would be mad to when he can go on a free next season and sign for say 30-40 million, plus a huge salary that may take a three year deal to 52 million for a three year contact on top of that signing on fee.

A move to BM may well be worth close to 100 million to him over a three year contract, with add on's, sponsorships and endorsements.

He could be minted at just thirty five years of age.

No expectations is something that is said in theory and will disappear with a few defeats.

The classic Levy trick would be to reinvest all of the Kane money but not spend any of the budget we we had allocated for transfers prior to the Kane sale (i.e. money set aside for VdV, Tosin or whoever).

Yeah that’s him all over. Good one.

We’ll be lucky to even hit that!

If we get Muani there's no chance of a top level CB on top surely. I hypothesised a few weeks ago that Levy put the brakes on a CB because he knew there was a decent chance Bayern would pay up, and if he brought more players in earlier then the fan expectations would still be that they re-invested all of the Kane revenue. He's purposely held off imo, then he can claim we've put all the Kane money back in, and overall the net spend will be close to zero when you factor in the others who'll be leaving. As usual, we'll have the tiresome posters claiming it wasn't zero because of Porro and Kulu deals.

Seems like Levy would rather play the long game in the hope that he can save a few mil on deadline day when no one else has come in for the player. Thing is it only works if the players club actually want to sell the player. If not the price doesn't change and why would it.

Absolutely no faith, selling Kane results in signing Tapsoba and Muani (others even saying 2cbs plus a forward).

Still missing something in Kane wanting the Munich move, rather than a huge sign on fee to the destination of his choice in a year's time. Never mind a likely long standing Prem scoring record. Maybe some later stages of the CL, winning def not a given. When was the last German Ballon D'or winner? Maybe once it's happened in my lifetime. (To be fair that is an equal amount of occasions to us winning the FA Cup!)
When was the last time there was one from England? It's been dominated by La Liga and largely Ronaldo and Messi. Even outside of them it's been Modric and Benzema at Real Madrid. Outside of Madrid he's got as good a chance at Bayern to win it than anywhere else. If Madrid want only Mbappe there's not much choice for him. Maybe City next year but if Haaland stays then he's probably more likely to win ahead of Kane. At Bayrrn he's probably got a good chance of CL though and that's the best path to a Balon Dor.

We have to do all we can to keep him but Bayern would be massive if he goes there.

Yeah I've absolutely no faith in Levy or the club getting a proper replacement.

He won't invest that money back into the squad.

Exactly.

Anyone expecting a Muani or expensive replacement can forget about it and is setting themselves up for disappointment

I can’t believe Ange would even want that though. So would the club really bring a big reputation striker in ahead of top level CBs against his wishes? I don’t think so.
I think we need the two CBs (plus the young lad at Blackburn) and then have to settle for a competent but probably not top level no. 9 to understudy Richy as not sure Scarlett is up to it.

Let's be real. He's not going to just take 90m, do an evil Blofeld laugh and give the fans the middle finger.

We'll spend a ton of money if we sell Kane. The question is how much and on what positions/players.

We need 2 good CBs (at least one top level like Tapsoba) and a quality forward. That's what he needs to get. Anything less and he's being a bellend. Anything more and he gets Tellytubby points.

It doesn't matter which way you cut it. If Ange wants CBs instead we'll get those and sign nobody upfront. Can't have your cake and eat it with ENIC. My feeling is we'll do a bit of both. 1 decent CB and 1 striker who's got potential but Richarlison level or worse.

I'd love that to be the case.

But if we're languishing in 11th place in November then I can see Levy pulling the trigger.
