I seriously cannot read too much more on Harry Kane. It's honestly like people are blind or complete idiots (i am pretty sure it is this one)

I was watching him in the two games and he was by far the best player in both games. It was almost painful to watch him alongside some of the other players. He played as both a number 10 and number 9 at different stages in both matches, the problem is everyone was playing for themselves.

When he was number 10 he created for everyone, I don't think he misplaced a pass, what did he receive in return - absolute fuck all.... not a single cross - sterling, shot or dribbled into a man every fucking time, Saka - nothing. We had two supposed creative midfielders on the pitch in Mount (who hardly touched the ball in both games) and Bellingham (did nothing in both games).

Only when Grealish came on for 20 minutes did we have a player who could get on the ball from deep and pass it Kane. It was like suddenly Kane wasn't carrying the team on his own anymore.

He has broken all these goalscoring records and he has played with a lot of really average players for both England and Spurs. I wouldn't mind but he is the quickest to get to 50 goals and for the last 20 games or so he has been playing as an attacking midfielder. Just imagine if England or Spurs had players around him who could actually create chances for him.

Next season I predict he will be the golden boot winner by a fucking mile. Because he is at his best, he (touch wood) doesn't seem to get injured anymore and finally he will have a manager and a team around him who deserve to be on the same pitch as him. Imagine Peresic, Kuvuleski, Eriksen (hopefully), Bentancur, Hoijberg, Doherty and Son all actually creating chances.

If England gets a decent manager in at some point I honestly think he could break 100 goals at international level. The Greaves and Shearer records will fall, it's just a case of how quickly.

He might even break the Greaves record next season.
With Kulusevski and talk of Eriksen joinin on top of Perisic, he should be getting much better service at Spurs at least

If England have any sense, they will play Grealish, Foden and Bowen to help create space and service to Kane. It's crazy how many people dismiss his value to the team or claim he is just a penalty taker. It's it just the 50 goals he scored, but how quick he got there, his playmaking and movement off the ball.

I worked with his aunt who used to babysit him as a kid. She often told me how much of an arrogant prick he'd become since he became a professional footballer. She would say that she genuinely loves him as he's family but doesn't approve of the man he's become.

That's funny. To be thought of like that by your own family must mean he is a bigger prick than perceived.
For some reason I have him and Chris Armstrong banded in the same category!

Darren Bent, still hurting after being shit and slagged off by Redknapp all those years ago. Such a bitter fuckwit when he’s talking about us. What’s more surprising is how he’s making a living with media work. Utterly despise that bloke

With all the talk that Eriksen might be returning , his free kick direct goals record was pretty good fourth in all time list . Thought I would check out Kane's direct goals from free kick record , it's really hard to understand why he is given the job as his record is so poor . Kane is somewhere way down the list with one goal scored direct from a free kick, even David Bentley managed three, same as Bale ..
Use filter all seasons for list.

Son just scored 2 free kicks in 2 games with South Korea. That might have an impact on who takes them next season.

I hope so as Harry has wasted countless free kicks , over the bar or into the wall , hard to remember goalies ever having to make a save , must have been one or two but they escape me.

Talksport generate money via people taking the bait and calling in to discuss/argue about the silly shit that the presenters say.

Of course Darren Bent doesn't actually think Kane and Son aren't world class. He's just saying it to wind people up and getting people to call in.

Don't let yourselves get so rattled by it.

It amazes me how many people don't get this.

It also grinds my gears when people on here say they're anti-Spurs. They're not "anti" anyone, they will just pick on teams when they know their fans are likely to phone in and have a moan. It's usually United and Arsenal these days, but I remember when Liverpool were poor they would regularly have negative phone-ins in relation to them to hook the Scousers.

I listen a lot, you have to treat it as entertainment as opposed to educational radio. The only person who you will learn anything from is Simon Jordan as he has a lot of stories about the inner workings of certain clubs.

So only 100 players have a scored a free kick in PL history?? Thought that would be much higher

The last three tweets on Spurs twitter over the past 24 hours have been about Harry. Not for any particular reason that I can make out. One of them just says "our own". Another just says "183 goals and counting".

Plus he is front and centre of the new kit publicity.

Too much to hope that we might soon be getting news about a new contract?

I'd also spotted that, might be nothing in it, but feels like Kane pr spin.

It's amazing that grown men listen to Talksport then complain about it. We know it's mostly lowest common denominator stuff, so why waste time on it?

"Did you read that bollocks in The Sun today?"
No I didn't because I'm a fucking adult."

Most criticism is just because he plays for Spurs. It's largely because we're a team fans love to hate.
Bent is always anti Spurs, might as well ask Keown if he's world class while you're at it.

Article in the Telegraph:

A series of key England players, including captain Harry Kane, have spent at least half of this campaign playing in the dangerous “critical zone”, at risk to their health and career longevity, it can be revealed.

Analysis by Telegraph Sport shows that Kane is one of six players in Gareth Southgate’s current squad who have played 50 per cent or more of their matches in the “critical zone” this season. A player is considered to be playing in the “critical zone” if he has made two appearances of at least 45 minutes without a break of at least five days between those fixtures.

Fifpro, the global players’ union, has warned that cumulative exposure to these back-to-back matches can have a detrimental effect on a player’s health, performance and career longevity.

There’s just too many games. It’s time the powers that be recognised this and tried to compromise on the amount of games. Prem should be cut to 18 teams and Europeans qualifiers should probably not compete in the league cup.

My Dad reads The Sun and always has. He regularly says to me regarding the football, in Jim White level outrage, 'Have you seen in the paper blah blah blah' and everytime I reply 'No, because it's all bollocks' lol.
