200k per week and a BIG bonus if we get champions league or win something, plus a release clause for 100mil+ (1 year left on contract + 29 at that point) activated only if we don't make champions league sounds fair to me.

2 years left on contract. He's already reportedly on £200k + bonuses.

No way we should be rewarding him with a new contract.

When you have a release clause like that which multiple clubs would hit do they end up bidding against eachother and the transfer fee going up or does the release fee stat the same and they bid via contract offers?
It wont be up to any of the clubs who want to buy and do bid. All the clause does is give the player permission to talk to any of the clubs that he fancies. Although the clause has been activated, the player may still stay as he does not fancy any of the clubs who are interested. In other words, its the player's call, not the buyers'.

Any increase wage or bonuses should be on condition he delivers trophies. No pay if injured and a buy out clause that Charlie runs naked around the pitch on match day with a message around his neck of the fans choosing.

I’m sure Levy will tell him we can chat about it in a couple of weeks. Then tell him to knuckle down and shut up. Get that little twerp of a brother in and embarrass the fuck out of him. Hopefully stick some cameras in the room just for future Xmas parties when they want a giggle in the Levy household. I would seriously say “we will talk about a new contract in January “ now get the supporters back on your side and get a new agent you melt.

I could be wildly off the mark, but I’m sure I read on here that Kane’s current contract with full bonuses etc can be up to £300-350k p/w.

This was ages and ages ago. Probably shortly after he signed his most recent one.

I think it’s heavily incentivised.

I've never been happy how he's gone about this but City couldn't have been that serious about signing him, as a fan of the club if both parties are happy if a new contract/agreement has been agreed just move on. He's staying so we don't have to find a lower quality striker at an inflated price. We have not backed down to a club who were yo-yoing between leagues until oil money came in. His teammates won't care because they probably go through the same feelings. Support the club, support the team and support each player wearing the shirt and badge.

He can get 400k when he wins some team trophies.

Was it JJ on MoTD that one time? He said to Shearer or something that none of the players have any right to ask for those kinds of wages if they can't win things between them.

People blame the owners, but it's criminal that these lads can turn flaccid at any given opportunity to win something, and then demand to be paid like they are in a title winning team.

Rather sell him next year on his existing contract if he wants a release clause tbh

£400k is also complete madness for a guy who hasn't won us any silverware.

Just the media turning a positive story negative again. Kane said he's staying but why run with that when you can print something that suggests he's still not happy?
