Gotta love the logic there. Well he had a release clause so we should pay more but this guy does not so we should pay less, much less. If Kane's release clause was £200m these fucks would come out saying we're ****s for having such an expensive release clause.

I genuinely wonder if all the City ITK's and reporters were/are so confident Kane would be going to City is because Charlie Kane told them he's valued at £100m, which in turn City told Charlie and Harry they were willing to pay and have bid. This, of course, was their valuation or some misunderstanding of the gentleman's agreement. That cascaded down and now reporters are finally figuring out the required figure is actually a lot higher.

Here's the tldr for you - City preparing a 150m Kane bid.

Wonder how long that attention whore thinks it takes to "prepare a bid". Ok, the payment terms/add-ons might take some time (although they will know there are only a couple of categories of add-ons that Levy would be prepared to accept) but he's been saying this for a couple of days when in reality in would take no more than a couple of hours.

They finally found a sensible poster over there:

So at the moment, we don't know how much Spurs are asking for and don't know how much City have offered. We don't know if City have a plan B or are happy to go through the season with what we have got. We do know the made up offer of £75m + add ons is insulting to Spurs and the made up asking price of £160m is far to much for City. Most bluemooners would love to sign Kane unless Haaland is a possibility then he is the preferred option. We missed out on Messi and Ings last week but have a chance of Ronaldo this week. I am looking forward to the Norwich game at the weekend and further in the future the closing of the transfer window. Every year I say to myself don't get dragged into all this bollocks and every year I'm here again. I am leaving now for my own sanity, you wait and see now as soon as I leave something will give, might just give it another hour then I'm definitely out of here.

Update on the saga so far.

Harry "yeah obviously I'd leave for £100m"

Pep "I'd love to sign Harry"
Spurs "He's not for sale"

City "We're not paying £160m!"
Spurs "We wouldn't accept it anyway"

Harry "I'm going to take an extra week off, so I can avoid getting injured before my move to City"
Spurs "Get the fuck back here. You're not for sale"

City "£75m plus bonuses"
Spurs "He's not for sale"

City "£100m"

Missed out on Messi and Ings? That's like missing out on an Aston Martin and a Mini.

They're trying to take our best player and he's mad about "bias against them"? What planet is he on? Did he expect us to love City for deigning to do business with us?

When Real Madrid were in the process of buying Modric, I had a conversation with a Real Madrid fan. When the subject of the fee came up, he said something like- "When Real come, they will tell a club which player they are buying and how much money they will pay. That club will then bend the knee, take the money and be grateful that Real have chosen one of their players."

That's where Man City fans are now.

Well, Mr Chaddblue..... The transfer is off, it's just City's media that don't seem to want to listen.

Correction: Any anti-Spurs media

Have a feeling this could be close to being agreed but everything is kept hush so we can get specific players in first

BM are now circling around the "can't he just buy out his contract and we'll pay him" stuff.

It'd be completely out of character for City pay bungs to get around FFP, so I can't see it myself :cautious:

(on a serious note, they seem to be about a month behind in this transfer)

If we've gone from Keane to Kane, and look like going from Kane to Dane, perhaps @Dean will be getting a contract next summer.

Sorry @Dougal, your chance is still some way off if I'm reading the tea leaves correctly.
Yeah....I'm 47 and gave up Sunday league football when I fell over with no-one within 10 yards of me.

Past competitive football now, but if you fancy a round of golf, followed by a rum and a snooze, then I'm your man ?

I'm assuming you don't need to know a lot about football to post on there. Lots of comments that make it seem like they just don't watch or know much about Kane or us at all...

I didn't think it was possible for anyone to have never seen Kane in goal.

(ignoring the awful analogy/logic behind it)
