But at the same time I dont want our pants pull down with the fee, and I believe it'll be daylight robbery if it was say 100m and Silva.

Bit of both, why wouldn't a club pay more for a player like Haaland who would be in demand obviously... Its football where money basically talks. So say both Chelsea and City agree terms and are prepared to meet the £75m what would stop them offering more to gazump the other?
Of course they could just offer rediculous wages etc but seems that wages will be the basis of new FFP so that could change too

He's got a clause in his contract that says all offers of 75 million have to be accepted. Why would you pay more?
If we offered 75 mil, and man City offered 300 mil, both offers have to be accepted, then the player decides where he wants to go. Why would any club offer more, when 75 million has to be accepted.

If 2 clubs activate the release clause it’s then down to the player to choose which club he would like to join, they can still turn them both down if they do not want to move to either.

I plan on buying two Son shirts… home for me, third when it’s released for the partner.
