It is BS as city wouldn't sell Sancho to another English club so he went abroad. Best career move he ever made as Poch after that first season rarely trusted young players so he should thank City for making the call for him
Even if it's not BS, there's nothing wrong in Levy not agreeing to Sancho's wage demands if the club felt them to be unreasonable. We're not a "money no object" club.

Can't think of anything more pointless than going after Levy for transfers which didn't happen.. hindsight is a wonderful thing..

It’s so out of character for him otherwise.
I don't understand this line of thinking.

He did the Neville interview just last season. This is him, doing the same thing - disrupting the squad to do/get what he wants.

Adversity does not forge character - it reveals character. This is, who Kane is.

Reckon he will play the Simone Biles card soon, say he needed the extra week to get his ‘head right’.
There it is lads.... The worst comment in the thread.

As someone who suffers from mental illness, on behalf of all of us who have to sometimes take time away to get our "heads right", respectfully, go fuck yourself dude.

Yeah everyone else has stated that City were being caddish bounders and didn’t want to sell to a rival, even though they’d just gotten best right back in league off of us!

Again, I would have stood firm and if Sancho wanted to come (which I think he did?) I’d have said no Sancho, no Walker. But i think Poch wanted Walker out at time over principles as Walker had been a bit of a dick so maybe he just said take the money.

I can well believe this too

Ultimately City are like Chelsea and don’t really need to sell. They can stockpile players and not worry about resale - Chelsea’s bench against us the other day, even not including players returning from Euros and others like Drinkwater not even in the squad, is insane and shows just how little selling is part of their strategy. This means they can very much walk the walk of not flogging to rivals.

We’re alas, whatever Levy would wish, not like that and trying to be like that in recent years, holding out for big fees and ending up getting next to nothing, has cost us, while clubs like Leicester and even Liverpool have thrived.

Shaw & Maguire playing for United today & I’m sure we’ll see ??????? City players later today.

Then you have Harry who can’t even train with the team yet ??‍♀️

No defending him whatsoever due to his own actions.

Isn't Dragon1 the ITK who always talked bad about Levy, even fudging the truth to do so? Decent ITK but I feel like he contradicts other sources when he starts talking Levy history

Especially with the "he took club from 2nd position to 7th in 3 years , from a cl final to Europes third tier comp"

As anyone with the internet, in which we converse, can see (at least with some cognitive sense), there were 4 years between 2nd and 7th, and 2 years between 2nd and the CL final, so it must clearly be cherry season in that household.

There's a clear distinction between league and cup performances, so it appears that when we've focused on the league, we've finished in the top 3 but been mostly shite in the cups. When we've focused on the cups, we've reached finals in 2 of the 3 seasons, but struggled for the CL slots.

Forgive my ignorance, but if he's returning from an Amber country, you don't have to isolate if you've had two jabs? So does that imply he isn't vaccinated? Would be a surprise given the amount of travel he takes with Spurs and England:

Rules if you’re fully vaccinated
If you’re coming to England from an amber list country (except France) and have been fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the bodies listed in this guide you:
  • must take a COVID-19 pre-departure test
  • must take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2 after you arrive in England – arrival day is day 0
  • do not have to quarantine
‘Fully vaccinated’ means you must have had your final dose of the approved vaccine at least 14 whole days before you arrive in England.

Pretty sure elite sports folks exempt, same for the people running the country

The painful reality could be that this isn't really out of character.

Ah come on. The nonsense that he was behind Poch sacking was false. Every Spurs player and coaching staff member tells us he is the best trainer, a model pro, a leader. Even the younger players say what a help he is. He's mentioned before about potential new challenges and wants silverware which is absolutely right but continued to give 100% and produce world class performances. Without him it could be a lot uglier.

The turning point has been end of season/this summer where he has made his first big mistakes as a pro. The timing of the Neville interview, the leaks about not turning up during england camp, the sun stories and then ultimately not turning up to training. And then the statement which is complete backtracking, tail between his legs stuff. Kane has to take majority of the blame for his actions this summer but he is also being badly advised by his brother.

Lets not be hypocrites and say hes always been a bad influence or been unprofessional because he hasn't.

As someone who has depression, PTSD and suicidal thoughts I suggest you to chill out. No need to be rude. This is a discussion thread. And the guy just made his suggestion. It may be very stupid but it doesn't give you any rights to tell him these things

I mentioned earlier in the thread that there comes a point where you just cant face it anymore in the job, role, company you are in. Youre worn out and need something different to get out of that headspace. Its not being apologetic because how he has gone about it is extremely poor and no going back as far as im concerned but also understand where it comes a point that you need soemthign different because youre worn out.
He's just had 3 weeks in the Bahamas on a private estate. In most jobs anything more than 2 weeks is considered exceptional and needs to be approved by senior figures. Given the new manager/players/systems, the club weren't out of order refusing a 4th week.

What probably happened was when he was in the Bahamas he heard about his "mate" Tom Brady's birthday and asked to stay on. Considering Covid is going through the roof in Florida, the club rightly said no. Kane, as he's used to now, just did it anyway.

Not sure how you're so sure about that, considering we have ITK that says otherwise...

Yes, it was badly worded, in my opinion but it is a suggestion that was made earlier in the thread.
Just with more tact.

It's fine to call people out but there's no need to be rude straight off the bat.

He didn't just not turn up for training though did he. We were actively negotiating with Madrid at the time.

He turned up for training and played in the first friendly. We then went on tour (might of been in Asia) and he was then “injured”. I remember the spurs tv videos at the time out there with him actively dodging the camera in the background. It was while we were out there that Madrid first bid, I think around about now. And that was it. We were all pissed off at the time. I had a look through the coys thread the other week as it was before I really posted on here.
