Hang on a minute guys, does anyone remember back when we tried to take Jadon Sancho off them when he was a hot prospect kid in their youth team? I remember reading some ITK stuff (not on here to be fair) saying we were close to bringing him in, but City decided to not sell him to a premiership rival, so off he went to Dortmund.

Anyone else remember that?

In a strange sort of way, I’m glad all of this has happened. I was always dreading the day Harry would leave-I never wanted it obviously.

Now, he has shown his true colours and I couldn’t give a shit if he goes, as long as we get his value he can go do one as far as I’m concerned. Such a shame Harry-you we’re loved here.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting he’s handled this well!?

The bottom line is we need him this season. You can get bogged down in holding a grudge, or you can look at the bigger picture and realise that booing him doesn’t really help anyone.

much as Harrys behavior is atrocious today this is on levy

he took club from 2nd position to 7th in 3 years , from a cl final to Europes third tier comp

refusing to back posh in summers of 17 and 18 then the disastrous posh / Jose switch

grealish should have been a spurs player for 25 million

contrary to reports that city would not include Sancho in the walker deal they are false we would not pay Sancho the wages he wanted, those were two huge errors

we are in this place because of levy horrific footballing decisions , no other CEO/MD would have lasted through this episode of vast incompetency

Why does he deserve special treatment over every other player?
Has Hojbjerg not had a really long season?
Pandering to Harry has very likely created this self-important monster that he appears to have become.
The club said he needed to return to training and he took it upon himself to have an extra week off, thus missing our first game of the season!
What impression does that give to his team mates, us fans and his bosses?

I'm sorry but there's no way that can be dressed up as anything but what it is, a massive dick move.
Not only a long season he's just got married as well- he still returned early. This shows commitment to his career/team/job
Good man

Was there a massive backlash from fans when Bale didn’t turn up to training? We welcomed him back with open arms...
Whats the difference here?

The deal with Madrid was already agreed and stated they would meet the asking price. He didnt want to train or play too much incase of injury.

Apologies if this was in the 50 or so pages I skipped yesterday but...

Given that the club has not released any public statements apart from Nuno saying Kane's issue is internal and Kane's statement says absolutely nothing about bids or transfers, can somebody who knows the current rules better than me say if Guardiola's comments constitute tapping up ?

Saying that they want a player of ours with 3 years left on his contract and we refuse to sell

They don't have permission to speak to the player but have publicly told him they want to sign him

Two clubs should in theory agree a fee before any contact is made by the buying club and the player, publicly stating you want to buy X player is tapping up yes. However all clubs do it, to different degrees, buying clubs and agents can easily talk without anyone knowing. Clubs largely don’t take action against it as like I say they probably do it too!
As for managers speaking out expressing interest, it’s more respect to other clubs not to do it, they just shouldn’t do it. They should always say “I won’t comment on any player as he belongs to xyz club”

Having slept on it if Kane stays now I would still be pleased

we all make mistakes. His was borne from extreme frustration at Levy and the direction of the club and I imagine worried that the clock is tickingon his career with nothing to show f

and don’t want to bow down to City at this point

plus he’s a world class striker with the season starting in a week

he’s acted poorly but not totally burnt his bridges

part of me does wonder if this is a tactic to turn the fans on him to make the move easier

Some people are so easily won over by a basic pr statement. He could score 40 goals this season and I'm still done with him.

id Say it’s more people don’t know the facts and the politics going on behind the scenes so don’t want to jump on the faux outrage bandwagon. Wouldn’t be surprised if people want him out now as that means more transfers and people seem to get more excited by transfer rumours and the transfer merry-go-round.

But I'm not going to boo him and I don't think anyone should. I just think he's shown us who he is and we shouldn't turn a blind eye. I'll always support everyone who plays for Spurs while they are playing for us but I don't love him anymore and if he leaves I won't cry about it. He's broken the bond.

Booing Kane would be counter productive and create a negative atmosphere that will affect the whole team.
Not singing his name is better, especially if it means we sing the names of players who deserve it more (Højbjerg, Son, Lloris, etc.).
The ground needs to be noisy and full of positive energy, especially after 18 months of football behind closed doors. Our stadium was designed with amazing acoustics to create a crescendo of noise to help the team. Let's use that to our advantage.

I doubt it, despite this whole debacle, I can’t imagine he’d want to destroy a legacy. Although that poorly worded tweet hasn’t helped matters. What a mess.
