I am sure it was a complete surprise to both clubs, but that is my point, the story clearly came from the Kane camp. But if the narrative is that Harry was promised a move for £100 million why would he mention the £160 million price in a story which can only be traced back to them at Charlie's wedding. I am simply questioning this notion that Levy promised Kane a move for £100 million

Yeah wherever you sit on Levy overall, I find it very hard to believe someone as successful in business as him would voluntarily cede leverage by telling Kane he could leave at a specific valuation far below his true worth. A handshake and vague assurances of a “gentleman’s agreement” if the “right offer” came in? Sure. But the £100m figure seems off - even to Neville - as many of you have pointed out.

Who on here actually thinks that City will stump up enough to even get Levy to the table, e.g £150m in cash (or cash plus some serious players e.g Laporte).

Is this even financially possible for them after the Grealish transfer?

Neville laughed in his face when Kane mentioned 100 million. It was such a weird figure to arrive at, I'd love to know where it came from.

Kane has said he won't go abroad. For all his faults he is unashamedly a devoted family man. He won't be apart from his kids or uproot them into a foreign-speaking country.

Kids pick up languages as easily as anything

It'll be more about him, his wife...and the premier league goal scoring record

If Spurs won't sell him to a UK team and PSG/Real offer him £400k a week let's see how closely tied he is to the UK

Kane: "So Daniel I'll sign if we agree I can leave if a bid of £100m comes in, ok?"
Levy: "Yes H, £100m, times 2..."
Kane: "Ok great I'll sign, wait what was that last bit...?"
Levy: "Don't worry Hazza, I agree £100m, doubled... now sign the contract"

Eriksen even said £200m would only be enough for the right foot..

Always knew Eriksen was the smartest of the bunch. According to that clip, Harry must be confused why City must want new players all the time... "for what reason?" LOL

Plenty of rumours that Messi won't sign a new contract. City tried to get him last year, wonder if they will try this summer or he's PSG bound. If he goes to City, then Kane surely is out of the question for them.

Over on the bluemoon forum "Just heard that the deal is losing momentum. City not willing to meet Spurs demands on fee so only way this’ll happen is if we sell Bernardo and Laporte."

A few posts later they've all ripped into it. Seems like the poster is a wannabe ITK.

Imagine if he keeps pushing it and City just move on. He's going to look a complete tit coming back with his tail between his legs.

Imagine the whole squad will be sat there eating breakfast with:

"Alright Harry - good holiday? Heard you went for a City break"

Assuming Citeh change their stance and lodge a bid we’d find acceptable, what kind of send off would the club post after all this nonsense?

Would it be several video montages of his best goals etc. ala Eriksen, Lamela, or a blunt ‘We wish Harry all the best…..’?!

Looks like Messi won’t be resigning with Barca now. Wonder if City would go for him…

Pep IMO. At least when they tampered with Walker the valuation lined up with what we were willing to take in exchange. Lots to be angry about in this whole saga, but the gnawing suspicion that Kane is colluding with a rival to devalue himself in order to make a move (fucking over his teammates in the process) is what’s giving me the most heartburn.
