TBH, if the info from Dragon is accurate I can actually understand Harry’s frustration. I struggle to understand why Levy would make such «promise» at such a low figure though. What was in it for Levy to gain from it?
Last summer Dortmund wanted 125million for Sancho. Do you really think Levy promised to sell Kane for 25 million less!!!!! The man who got 85 million out of Madrid for Bale SEVEN years earlier (and for all Bale’s match winning performances he didn’t have the selling points Kane has - England Captain, World Cup Golden Boot and PL Golden Boot winner or runner up for most of the last 5 years).

Seeing a lot of videos, comments etc outside of SC saying how Spurs should do the honourable thing and let him go. Honestly baffling.

We will let him go. For the price we set! How difficult is that to comprehend. People almost talking like we should sell him for below his worth out if some sort of obligation. "100m is a lot of money they should take it" Yeah it's a lot of money for Moussa Sissoko, but not for the England Captain, one of the best Strikers in the world, our talisman who is integral to our squad and has 3 years left on his contract. Those people can fuck right off!!!
I know right. Seriously have no idea why for some people it seems we are in the wrong of not letting Kane go. When is going AWOL the right thing to do, first and foremost?

BTW, asking for real as you locals will know. Will Kane be breaching any sort of regulation if he was indeed required to turn up for Covid testing but he did not?

The thing is he is virtually done here now. I doubt many will forgive him for this unless there is a grovelling apology. But the club must play hard ball now and not waiver in their valuation of him. Without him I still think we are a good team, I think Nuno can bring the best out of players such as Lucas, Delle and Bergwijn to support Son.
He is not ‘done’ that’s ridiculous, the situation might change and if he continues to play for Spurs then we are more likely to have success. I get people are annoyed, I am! but none of us are that close to what’s going on and some statements are getting a bit carried away.

I'm still pretty chilled out on the situation. I think it's difficult to see a situation come to light where the facts are that there was a good reason he didn't show up. We'll see what tomorrow brings but I'm still hoping that City stop pretending they're hard up and just make an offer that fits the variables of the situation, namely that it's the best player in the league, homegrown and a rival with a 3 year deal who topped both the goals and assists.

However I'm disappointed at the moment on a particular part of this, I was pretty critical during the manager hunt that a lot of people seemed to think that our managerial hunt should boil down to what's our best chance of keeping Kane. I don't think you should ever pander to 1 player no matter what particular if he's seemingly demanding certain decisions or else he's going to demand to leave. I'm disappointed that we as a club did pander to him. We pandered on the Poch decision, we pandered on Jose and it became evident that Kane's judgement on managers is clearly awful and he's the last person who should be dictating who has the hotseat.

However the thing that disappoints me the most is knowing that we risked the biggest cup final in our history by pandering to him and dropping the player who scored a hat trick just so he could play half fit probably as we felt that on the 5 year journey he contributed more but the reality is we made that decision which I think you could argue wasn't the right decision in the simple terms of finding the best way to win the match in front of you and he doesn't take that into account or show any gratitude to that kind of decision. That we have sacrificed a lot to make him happy. We took the risk in the final for him, we sacked the best manager of my lifetime because of how he felt. We spent 18 months going in the wrong direction to pander to him.

I'm grateful for all that he's done but the actions do not reflect well given the decisions the club have made for him and whilst I completely understand his desire to leave, his decisions will make it difficult to respect him or see his legacy in a positive light. If he had announced his plans to leave officially but turned up to training then that goodbye would feel very different and all anger would be towards the clubs failures.
I agree entirely with you that we have pandered him ever since he showed he was good enough to be our number 1 striker. We also pandered to him by never substituting him early even when we’d comfortably won the game because he wanted to chase his goal scoring record which was detrimental to the squad. The backup striker never got any game time and so never got any match sharpness and Kane ended up worn out and injury prone.

I have no problem in Harry taking the call to leave. But I will say this...

Kane forcing a move to City shows how mentally fragile his mind is, with not able to win a trophy in his life, watching every other English player win something...Harry has had numerous chances to win himself...and every time, its not that he didnt score or create - he didnt even turned up in any of those semis or final.

I am still annoyed Kane was picked over Lucas for the CL final. Not that this is Kane's fault but Lucas deserved that final.

As for as Kane, if City bids 150m or so bid, I would happily send him off. With 150m, we can totally reshape the squad and rebuild it. With Paratici , I am convinced our recruitment will be top notch unlike Baldini mismash signings.
Why are you convinced though, based on what? We have barely signed anyone and none will have kicked a ball in the premier league. I wouldn’t stay jumping up and down about any Kane money. High probability it goes wrong in my option.

In that final - Klopp did exactly the same, he also played his first choice striker who wasnt fit - that was Firminho... they were both shite int he final. Any manager would have played their first choice strikers even not at full fitness - both managers did just that.
Sorry don’t see Fergie, Pep or Mourinho starting a CL with an unfit player.

He probably wouldn't get the same amount of assists but he would probably get more goals as he would have much better service.
You have to factor in that he won’t get as many playing minutes as he did at Spurs. Pep rotates players more.

Only way back for back for him would be a Gerrardesque U turn, a public statement and new contract.
This won’t happen, sold his legacy for oil money
