do you think we are going to be able to sign 3 or 4 top players now, just because we have money we are a far less attractive proposition now if Kane goes the goals out of this team with Kane and Bale gone are going to be soo difficult to replace
Villa are buying Bailey.

We’re likely to sign Romero.

In this market if you pay up you will likely get.

Scenes if Kane leaves and Spurs win the league...

Replace Spursy with Kanesy ;)
That's the most annoying thing about this - if this is true, then you'd hope he flops and wins fuck all at City..........but, alas, the oil slavers are pretty much guaranteed a bucket load of trophies every season because of the untold cash they throw at everything.

It isn't sport, and it isn't sporting, and we can moan about trophies at City being "meaninglesss", but it effectively ends the game for every other team.........and Chelsea aren't any better!

Totally agree. He may well think he has a 'gentleman's agreement' with Levy but the club definitely has a perfectly legal and binding one with him. Nobody held a gun to his head when he signed (what was then) a very lucrative deal. It would be so sad if it ends acrimoniously (one of my words learnt this week (y)).

Sadly, I think it might be a little late for hoping there's no acrimony to emerge out of all this. Our hearts are broken and we're bloody angry at the way he's handled this.

He wanted more time off (read between the lines) last week. Reluctantly granted. Personally I wish citeh pay up, and let us move on from this soap opera.
Probably for the best. We don't want him around the club at the moment anyway because all focus will be on him and it will be distracting for everyone. I don't think he would sulk or be poisonous like some players but he may be low on energy and you tend to feel that presence.

So keep him away until City pay up. If they don't, he stays and has to get on with it.

He still wants those records so he'll have to refocus.

Wouldn't it be great to finish second to a Kane led City by 9 points, only to see them docked 10 points for cheating FFP...

If you think Kane + a shit defence is a better team than an average striker + a solid defence, you are off your rocker. Chelsea last season are a classic example. Sell the bloke, invest in the defence and a new striker, move on.

The thought that given the current economic situation with most clubs, if City get close to Levy's estimation the we should sell.

There are more than enough options and some that wouldn't normally be available to bolster the team and Nuno could fill almost any position he wanted to with quality.

This opportunity only comes around once in a decade or so for a club like Spurs (the last being Bale) and i would make sense with Kane now at twenty eight, for the club to cash in their chips on him.

Hard as that be, it really is a no brainer and who knows we may well end up with a better all round team?

Roberts knows fuck all
True. Although who actually does. I mean I haven't heard anything as yet but I'm all aboard the put the boot in on Kane train.

Thing is whether he was supposed to be in today or not he's still handled this all wrong. He needs to give his brother the boot and get proper representation.

Can’t get my head around them thinking they are going to pressure Levy into anything, when he holds on the leverage. Baffling.

The thing with Kane, is it's so clear he's just been told by someone (some complete Charlie probably) to do this... so he's acting it out. Bottom line is as soon as the window is shut, if he's still here, he's just going to get on and play...

If it was Balotelli you'd be worried.

The amount of you that were saying Kane will be leaving and you would not blame him when we had all the manager fiasco and before that when we were linked to game changers and got the "we tried"
Fast forward and now you're calling him "this that and the other"
I hold the club responsible for where we are now and the manager shit show just showed what we kind of been saying for some time.
Some keep saying it's different now as we got Fabio but we've not improved the first team yet! We got a kid with good potential but that's it.
The only good news we've had is Sonny's contract and I feel it's more to do with his love for the club and the fans than Levy or the board.

I still feel that Kane leaving could be better for us as some players would now consider coming as they won't be second fiddle to him. I just hope Fabio is as good as they say he is but most importantly, I hope Levy stays out of his way!

95% of the fans accept that he's leaving but by forcing a move by going AWOL + neville interview is a whole different matter

It's a game, ffs.

Absolutely but we all know what some people can be like when they're angry. Just look what happened when those three players missed their penalties the other week. 'Savages' doesn't even cover it.

This is it for me. When Kane was negotiating the contract he was in a position of power.

He could have signed a shorter contract or got a release clause put in.

His agent didn't have the foresight or the nous to demand such a clause.

Absolutely incredible the short memories some people have.
