After reading the article I am a bit sceptical.

160 million is likely the amount needed, however it does go on to say that Pep may have to part with players for the deal to go through.

So unless something has changed recently and we have agreed with a city player to come (Jesus is mentioned in the article), then it’s no different to reports earlier this summer.

I know its just Sun. I have just read the Sun story. I am convinced,Kane is gone.
I wont be surprised, if deal is cash+Jesus.

There are way too many details in the article to laugh it off. Its absolutely more credible than so many half ass transfer stories thats been written in past

Personally I don’t give a fuck about mercenary footballers. I loved Berba and Modric and still do. What gets me is the emotional manipulation and pretence of loving the club to enhance his own position. I guess others are happy to just believe and accept it

I get that. I guess seeing behind the curtain would only increase this.

Personally I think the 'one of our own' is more based on him being an academy player turned superstar than his actions towards the club.

Whilst I begrudgingly accept him choosing to leave he'll definitely be tainting his spurs legacy in the process. It will be interesting to see if its worth it for him when all is said and done. I doubt he'll get a statue at City but he'll defintiely pick up some winners medals.

"Harry is our player, period."
That's what nuno said just a few days ago. He put his neck on the line.
It would be extraordinary if he is was immediately found to be lying to the fanbase on one of the most sensitive subjects, as one of his first statements as manager.

Can’t imagine that it will be cash plus Jesus.

1. He’s not especially good. We can do better.

2. I’m not sure that he would want to come to Spurs right now.

He said it 6 days ago. Absolutely no reason to think he knew otherwise. In fact Harry is still our player.

That doesn't necessarily rule out a sale though does it?

He's just stating a fact that Kane is our player. If he went on to say that we have no plans on selling him and he will be integral to our chances for the coming season - then maybe I would believe you.

He is ours.... right up to the moment he signs a contract with Man City after we agree to sell him for a wad of moolah.

Dont get side tracked by Sun's headlines.

Point is, article does have way too may specifics including specifically saying Levy talked on phone on Friday. I know its just Sun. But still to disregard it, is just being naive

Who the fuck is Clemmie Moodie and how would they be the first to break this story?

If I remember correctly she used to be a showbiz reporter at the mirror a good 10-15 years ago. Odd source, maybe hearing it from a different avenue rather than the football side. Still not convinced on this being true though.

Hardly call that putting his neck on the line. It’s typical manager-speak.

These quotes are from "a club source", but which club, I wonder. These quotes sound like someone from MC, not Spurs...

She very clearly got the story herself or via a source at Charlie’s wedding.

If City are expecting to fund this by exchanging/selling fringe players I think they are going to fall short. I don't see any of their players wanting to join us or other non-elite clubs and most other clubs won't have the money to pay what they'd want for them.

Only X-Factor would be if Mendes could force Bernardo to join us.

Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for the club. 160m is a lot of money and we desperately need this rebuild to get off and running.
