doesn't really matter whether it's £100 or £100m, i simply do not trust the motley crue of daniel levy (who's proven himself massively inept), patarici (who wanted us to hire gattuso) and apparently jorge mendes to replace the heartbeat of our side.

I don’t care about the rights or wrongs of the DoF model, I want Levy handling all negotiation attempts from City.

Personally, I’ll be very surprised If Kane is still a Spurs player for us this coming season, Gobsmacked if he is, the following season.

"It is obviously good to get your first goal at a tournament, especially when all you lot would not shut up about it," Grealish said ahead of Saturday's quarter-final against Ukraine.

???

Love Grealish. Even more so since the encyclopaedia interview. Very easy to warm to as a person as well as a player.

Yeah me too. The guy, before he blew up, got so much flak for such daft things like the hair and the shinpads and a couple of follies of youth, but he’s become a real leader and catalyst too. How we all wish we’d got him when it was possible ?

Not signing JG was a real sliding doors moment for the club.

I sometimes think that Kane is so good that in a way it limits us. All of the other Prem clubs have several strikers to choose from but we only have Kane and at a push Son, who isn't even really a CF. Look at how many strikers Leicester have and they still go out and sign Daka. We will never sign another top drawer striker while Kane stays at the club as he pretty much plays every game. No top striker wants to come here to sit on the subs bench so we will always be signing sub-par strikers or relying on our young players for someone to fill that role. We should have three or four quality strikers on our books like we used to e.g Berba, Keane and Defoe- and a manager courageous enough to be able to rest Kane for certain games. None of Poch, Jose or Mason were able to do this and that is a problem over a long and arduous season.

If we sell him for decent wedge and I'm talking upwards of 150M we might be better off overall, much as it would burn me to see him scoring goals for anybody other than us.

Just to clarify, I want him to stay, I'm just putting out there that he has become so good and so big a player that we have become scared of upsetting him.

I kinda agree - but it’s down to the insistence (Manager, fans, Levy, whom ever) that he’s undroppable - meaning he’s played injured, unfit and exhausted week in and week out. This is a downward spiral as he’s more likely to get injured and less likely to score. And we have no reliable cover when he doesn’t play.

If we were a confident club, we’d tell strikers that they’d play regularly, with and/or instead of Kane, knowing there are games he won’t be able to play in. We’d then be able to give them a run in the team to get confidence and form and get the team results. Instead, we’re scared of not playing Kane - to ours and his detriment.

Yea I agree that in ways because Kane is by far in away our best player and is one of our own it’s all about him and we can’t attract any other decent strikers when playing with 1 up top.

I wish we had tons of top class players on Kane’s level or even better than him to support him but as things are if we could get £150m for him and properly seriously reshape the squad with 4-5 top top signings then it could be similar to when Liverpool sold Coutiniho and started their re-build under Klopp.
